New ZR-1 Owner from France

5 Attachment(s)
Hi there !

I just registered on this forum as I bought a 1994 ZR-1 to sit just aside my 76 C3 in my garage.

I live in south of France and I've been lucky to find a 1994 in good condition here. I was looking for a 93 to 95, and these years are very complicated to find in France.

She is Competition Yellow with black int?rior, she has been imported in France in 1995 and was maintained by Geoff Jeal in the UK.
By the way, it has some modifications made by Jeal : Carbon intake, 4 in 1 headers, specific ECM custom programmed on the dyno and a set of Movit front brakes.

I inspected the Z, she is in a very beautiful condition and is a beast !
I'm looking foward to receive it... it is planned for the 27th or 28th of december...

Here are some pictures...

Guillaume.

Awesome car.
Great history.

It appears to have been made by Geoff Jeal, if you expand the pic you can see a sticker on it. It is the only one that i have ever seen.

I?m surprised to see that comment concerning the intake. I was thinking that it was something you would used to see in the US.
This explains why I couldn?t find any pictures of similar intakes on the web.

That is a super cool intake! I owned ZR-1s (2) since October 1991 and first time I am seeing this type of intake.
Congratulations! To drive a Vette with honking V8 I am sure is a treat in Europe.
I currently have a 94 ZR-1 #256, black/black.and just added a 2022 Corvette Z51.

This one is #32. For sure ZR-1 are not common in France ! I guess there are more or less 30 of them in the country and as far as I know this one is the only 94, most of them are 90 or 91.

I don?t know if there are others with Jeal upgrades. This is probably not uncommon on ZR-1 which have been imported in France in the 90s as UK is not far away.

I want that intake? Does Geof still make those? Sounds like from some of the responses that it is a one and done design. Really like it.

Geoff is out of business since few years.
I have no idea on how much he did produce at the time he was tuning LT5s.
I couldn?t find any similar intake?s pictures on google.

Hi !

Thank for all the comments !

Last sunday I had the opportunity to drive her with some friends.
We were 3 : A 93 Callaway Supernatural 400, a C7 Z06 Carbon 65 edition and of course my 94 ZR-1.

This is nice to have a Callaway and a ZR-1 both in Competition Yellow together in France. I assume the probability for this combo out of the US is close to 0...

Here are some pictures...
