There was a bunch of guys on CF that were buying rotors from a place in California. Some of them got them and liked them. I was one of about 6 who never got my rotors. They guaranteed them in X days. It took 30 minutes to get someone on the phone. After about a dozen calls and telephone calls I gave up. Funny thing is they charged my credit card, I had to get the charges reversed. It was a royal pain in the ***. They finally got booted off of CF. I wouldn't buy unless you can reach them on the phone readily. If you get voice mail all the time, that is a bad sign. If you do buy, don't use a debit card, make sure its a credit card.
I think I paid about 1,200 for my rotors back in the day but I have seen some sales where all 4 are well under $1,000 for 2 piece rotors. Honestly, they are worth it, mine have been on my car for 4 years and they look new and perform flawlessly. Also there is a warranty for cracking etc. But if these are half way decent, you can buy 5 sets of these rotors for the price of baer's LOL
Good Luck

I would be willing to try something like that since I go through front rotors like water.
Couldn't find on his site if they were 12" or 13", and the question section wouldn't let me ask a question?

For a starter I will use paypal if I go this route. Also, nake sure I get 13" fronts.
I would love to go to Baer 2 piece. However, I have 2 kids in college,

There are in-betweens you know. You could buy some Raybestos solid rotors from RockAuto for about $200 for all four corners, and ensure you get 13" fronts. Though you'd still need pads.
That kit is certainly cheap though. Personally I'd be wary of a couple things:
- Are the fronts the right size
- I don't like drilled/slotted rotors
- Are those pads any good
Have you thought of having your rotors turned? I always dismissed that, but I had my stock take-offs turned, and they came out great. A friend is running them on his LT4 car, and so far so good (including some dragstrip stopping).

Scroll down - that set is for the standard late C4 - the front rotors are 12", not 13" like the ZR-1 uses.
The price tells me the quality is pretty low - pay your money and take your chances. :dontknow:

I hear ya. That why I asked for opinions.
I am sure they have 13" front package also. On fleabay these guys are back to back, page after another.

I can fully understand that. You should look around, I sold 4 Eradispeeds 2 piece for C5 for $500 which were basically new.
Also just a thought, I had Coleman rotors and Wilwoods (pricey 2 wheel setup) and matched them up with just some basic slotted rotors in the rear. Fronts do 80% of the braking. You could do them in stages so its not such a hit financially.
Unfortunately I think you get what you pay for 80% of the time. But clearly even new rotors or turned rotors with some good pads would be an improvement.
Again, I'd research heavily on ALL the internet forums, camaro, corvette, mustang etc and if you research alot of those companies, you will see people often have several problems (as I did), not getting product, months for delivery, cracked rotors etc etc.
The price seems right but if you have to buy 4 more 6 months from now for $200 well then, its not such a good deal.
Good luck

All 4 rotors and pads for 210 bucks? That is some cheap hardware.
Not sure on your driving style, but Hawk HPS is a great pad for street and light duty track. And then rotors, I would avoid anything cast in China. which puts you out of the cheap category.
But if you are just in town driving and not pushing the car, go for it.

Puts you out of a lot of categories! Even the Baer two-piece have the rotor part cast in China.
I'm pretty sure the AC's are from there too now?
What's left for American made rotors? I know Wilwood and Coleman are (though not sure anyone sells a center section for Colemans for the rear).

Cheap and brakes should not be used in the same sentence. But then it's all a matter of how much you value your life and others'. $80 for a set of four rotors? How can they ship them from China for that ?

I have to agree with the get what you pay for and brakes is not something to go cheap on. This deal sounds like these that I jumped on a few years ago: Could not post the link from the "other" forum but it was $170 with free shipping for same deal
As soon as I can afford to I want to upgrade the brakes to the good stuff. It does not make sense for me to try to make the Z faster, but not make sure that I can stop. I tested these only to about 130 MPH and normal driving, not sure how they would react to emergency braking though and when I really need them.
