I looked in the '90 owners manual and can't find any reference to the auxilary connection wire in the back of center console under carpet.
Is it there like in the newer ZR-1s?
If not, how did you install the Valentine in yours?
Thanks in advance, Bill

Bill it wasnt an option for the MY 90. Only MY 91-96s had the aux power wire option under the console. You may have to tap into to the back side of your Cig lighter for power if you want to hide the power cable. GC

Bill, I tapped into a switched power source line for the radio when I hard wired mine. It was easy access under the passenger side hush panel.
The 90 does not have the aux power wire.

I tapped into the back of the Cig lighter on my 1991 for a Garmin and radar detector before I found the auxiliary power wire connection under the console ;)
I hid the wires behind the Bose panel.

THAT'S NOT THE ANSWER I WANTED!! But it's the answer I expected. . The more I look at the '90 and the books etc that came with it it looks like nothing vs. the '91 and later ZR-1s. Guess the attitude after missinf the '89 intro was do anything to get them out the door...they could sell almost any that made it to the dealer and many at prices way over MSRP.
Tks for the help, Bill

There's switched power to the sunvisor mirror lights. Tap into that and run the wire down the inside of the LH windshield molding.

I thought about that so I checked the sunvisors etc in '93 BEAST2 (BEAST2@v) and they were all hot all the time. Then I wondered if that's another different thing about '90 ZR-1s...It is. With key off the siunvisor light is out just like you said!
Easy wiring job and the my '90 will be Valentine protected. THANKS VERY MUCH for your help, Bill :-D :handshak:
