Heater hose - Is this right?

Guys,
one of the heater hoses coming out of the T-stat housings looks a bit strange. Have I broken it when removing the engine, or is this what it is supposed to look like?

I can look at mine tonight to see if there is a difference, where does that one go to?

I'm pretty sure that's what it looks like, though not 100%? To remove it you have to pinch those black tabs in the housing in, then it pulls out. If the hose didn't sort of narrow there, they wouldn't pinch in.

It's definitely a weird hose...

Looks like the quick disconnect fitting (which really was used just to make life easier on the assembly line). If it's not leaking, it's probably OK, at least in my experience with the same fittings on other GM vehicles.
