Ok the test package went out and delivery was uneventful with both emblems arriving safely. I will VHT coat the emblems and get them out, I coated a few in VHT flameproof but was unhappy with the gloss. I am switching to 900 Degree caliper paint(VHT) and the shine is much better.

Pete also was given a set of test GEN IIs....I think the fit is good...I will let him confirm.

Educate me: what's the diff between the 90 and the later year emblems? I could use some later year emblems for two cars, but the 90s would likely be fine.:hello:

Real quality and perfectly produced.:thumbsup:

I highly recommend these emblems.

I will have them on display at the maintenance sessions in my garage today, (Thursday), and Sunday when we replace Darrin's rear spring. Come on by and see them.

Lee, Did you get any emblems made that are not curved? I would like some to attach to my tool box and to plaques.

The Corvette emblem change for the 1991 MY. It used to have a gold chevy bowtie sitting in a field of red. For '91, it was just a red outline bowtie in a field of black.

These are very very nice the price makes them even nicer.:-D
I compared it to my stock 1991 piece you can see the differance but since the OE's are NLA i will keep them in the vault they're my 401k plan :)

Again for the price they are high quality pieces

 Lee

Having some issues with the coating. VHT flameproof is satin so not as shiney but goes on easy, VHT caliper for some reason either turns out perfect....thick and glossy or it films over and ruins the checkered flag. I have toasted 10 emblems messing with these coatings. I sent VHT a note asking them WTF. I also sent eastwood a note to get there advice.

Since I started working on the hoses, I am beginning to wonder if when I asked if the paint could hold up to 225-300 degress if I was talking F and they were thinking C. Big Difference. One of the emblems on my 90 does not have any coating on the checks and it is mint. I need to ask again, I might be wasting my own time.

I should get 20-30 emblems completed this week and will be e-mailing those with orders. Sorry this is such a PITA but I want it to be right for everyone.

I have about 3 sets of emblems that are flawed, these are emblems which were coated in VHT flameproof which turned out to be too flat, and then coated in VHT caliper. The white was slightly tinged(yellow), but is only noticed when held up close.

I am currently using VHT engine paint with no issues.

If you are interested in a set of the flawed emblems....they are $8 per emblem plus shipping. Flaws would not show in pics.

I just sent a note to the vendor, it is a national holiday in China....actually last 2 weeks. Hopefully it will be soon, as they already charged me for 100 91-95 emblems. I also asked her to confirm the heat range on the paint they use.

Thanks, they are not bad for the price.

By the way for anyone using RTV, the stuff sticks like an SOB. I went to take my old emblems off and it a pain in the azz. I may have used too much. So when applying don't go crazy!

Looks like Nov 23rd is the ship date for the 91-95 emblems. Should have them by months end. Once they are in I will get them out to those who I owe emblems to and will start taking orders.

The only difference with these is the Chevy Bow Tie is recessed in order for the color to stay in place, to me it looks better as it stands out.

1991-1995 are in.....I am not going to coat these anymore as manufacturer has stated they are good over 320 degrees...and its a PITA. I am going flat $18 per emblem plus shipping from now on....30 day warranty.
