This is a two part contest. All answers must be submitted to contest@pnwzr1.com No answers will be taken from the posts. All correct answers will be written down, dropped into a hat and selected by a heavy chested blonde. Contest will close Friday at 6 PM PST on August 28th.

Small disclaimer (Some of you will be null and void from entering this contest as you know the answer, and you know who you are as well!)

First part is, where did this piece come from?

Second, what year did it come from?

The prize for the first part is a year membership to the Registry. The second prize will be 75 bucks to spend at Adams.

I have left the picture full size so you might have a better chance.

Bite me, I sent one in anyway.
How about a pic of the heavy chested blonde at least.

What's that line about monkeys and a football?

It took more than 3 monkeys in 102* heat

Looks like what's left of a seal between a Alpha II Mercruiser outdrive and the transom on a 28' Bayliner

Hood open, people standing around, and a flashlight being used...is this the car the mystery item came out of?

That would help narrow down the year by a few, based on the steering wheel, ECM mounting and throttle cables shown.

Contest is closed.

Answer is................

The piece came off of a harmonic balancer. It's the pressed in isolator between the main section and the outer ring.

Now the second answer as to what year car it came off of....... Well that was a little bit of a trick question. The car that it currently belongs to is a 91, but the balancer was a pre-production piece. The rubber ring does not have any provisions for balance pins.

I thought I knew what it was.Its flat, not the drive belt,no ribs its got to be the insulator and the cars a 91.Since this is closed I guess I can throw this out there.

Did anyone get that it was off a pre production part?

I know I got the Part right but not the year so what would it be a 88 or 89?
