Got the plenum and IHs off, the starter out, and the harness 95% loose. I think I can fab up a plate to utilize the starter bolt holes, but what do you pros recommend for attaching at the front of the motor? (I'm using an engine leveler BTW.)
TIA,
Paul.

I use a chain and I bolt it to the front of the LEFT Injector housing and I bolt the other end into the rear of the Right injector housing.
works like a charm.

Huh...Okey-dokey! Were it a cast iron motor, I'd have had no qualms about similar attachments. But, being this is an aluminum motor, I was concerned about the bolts pulling out of the aluminum. But! Apparently not a big deal. Thanks for responding!

Jeff and I did something similar when we pulled my motor. Try to spread the weight out as best you can and don't jerk on anything.

I prefer my way 100 times over the "lifting tool" that kent more made.
And all that does is bolt into the aluminum on the Left hand head and the back of the block on the Right hand side.
I used that thing once and the front one bent so much I though it was going to break.
I like my chain.
