Does anyone know the actual weight of a stock, bare piston? The only information I could find was in Cor-vette specs book that says it is 1.4 lbs.
Thanks!

Wow...quite a discrepancy between the numbers:
484g 1.067 lb
490g 1.080 lb
486g 1.071 lb
vs 'Corvette spec book' at 1.4 lbs

Thanks for the info; I really appreciate it. :handshak:What else should I believe from this book if this info is so far off? :dontknow:

Thanks. I was trying to compare the difference of some forged JE stock sized pistons that I have. These are 448g or 15.80 oz

the corvette spec book probably gives you the total weight of what is referred as a piston kit,: piston, rings, wrist pin and locks...they do that for balancing information
