For all who were planning to attend but had not enrolled, there was a deadline and it was yesterday. I'm really disappointed because I have not driven Hallett and was looking to meet others at the track for a little driving instruction and fun. I know Jerry had some other surprises for us too. Maybe we can reconstruct the event at a later date - next year?

Guys I would be SHOCKED ( and I know Jerry fairly well ) if he tried to get this off the ground again. I don't want to say this was a once in a lifetime opportunity but it had to be close.
The credibility factor alone has been damaged as it pertains to the VIP's that were invited. Some set other plans aside so they might participate for our benefit.
This has turned out to be an extreme let down. Jerry went through more time, effort, and resistance than many of you will ever know and while the response was favorable commitment was not enough in the end to justify.

Jerry:
Sorry this had to be cancelled. I understand what goes into putting something like this together. Hopefully in the future others will commit earlier so that coordinators can plan accordingly.
For those that did register, what should we look for in regards to refunds?

Those who registered will receive a full refund. The registrations were processed by me and forwarded to Jerry. The refunds will be forthcoming from the Registry Treasurer, Jeff Flint and he is aware of the situation. I'm not sure of the exact procedure but Jeff will take care of this very soon I'm sure.

Well folks, I'm very sorry to hear about the Stillwater event cancellation. I'm sure the economy has a lot to do with it. You know, even a weekend event costs a pretty penny these days and sometimes the 'ol cookie jar gets a little low. A special Thanks to Jerry and the folks who worked on putting this thing together. I know what it's like. But listen up. There may yet be a silver lining. I've been working on a special project for several months now but I didn't want to say anything for fear it might effect the Stillwater event participation. Now that it is gone, I'd like to clue you all in on what I think will be a very heartwarming and memorable experience. But first, here is the story of the original Stillwater event and if you prefer, you can visit our website and download the complete story in pdf form with full color pictures. Look under our "links" section at http://www.AutoMastersofBG.com (http://www.automastersofbg.com/). You will also find the story behind The Legend Lives event. I think both of these are pertinent to what I'm going to update you on next.

Guys, I am currently on the road heading to Canada to do some work. I will be talking to George today about this for a speedy refund. We only had one person pay by check which will be shredded. Those who paid via CC, should see a credit on their account.

All TS-II Registrants:
Those who paid with Visa or M/C have had a credit issued to their accounts on 8/9/09. I'm not sure how long it takes to be posted to your credit card, but please check in the next day or two to be sure.
Those who paid with check ... your check was not deposited ... Jeff shredded your check.
Those who paid with PayPal ... Jeff will be issuing those credits and will probably notify when that's done with either a post here or with an email to those registrants.
Any questions ... just PM me. Thanks.

Sorry Jerry you went through all of this planning for nothing. I feel like I should be tied to the whipping post. But I would have been lieing to myself to think the car was going to be ready for this event. And I don't blame you if you never coordinate another event.
