A few years back zmax was being sued by FTC. At the time FTC claimed use of zmax actually accelerated bearing corrosion.

I do not know the final outcome.

Being an engine builder I can honestly say I have no clue  :dontknow:. Have never heard anything about it one way or the other. Like Johnny I chalk it up to 'Snake Oil', but the fact they are the title sponsor to ZMax dragway had to have taken some dough, so I wonder? Do they sell a ton to guys that don't know or guys that do?

I know I tried to figure some of those "snake oil" claims out by doing some reading over at Bob the Oil Guy's forum.....man I just don't know as some of the threads over there are fairly involved and there seems to be no simple answers in any of them. Or, maybe the answers are there and I just don't get it!
I just figure that if you stick to reasonable oil & filter change intervals, and use good oil & filters, you're doing as much as you can do...I try to keep in mind what kind of driving cycles I'm doing so I can figure if I'm in "normal usage" or if I'm getting into the "severe use" zone, and I adjust my change intervals accordingly. :dontknow:

From what I know " my test"
Air cooled, all aluminum Kolher v-twin 9??cc motor 27hp with oil filter and presserized oil system. Yup, lawn mower.
Engine oil would go dark to black in 10hrs of service. After treatment the oil will stay clean/clear after a full season 115+ hrs.
Is this good :dontknow: I still have not put it in a car.

I agree....but, I cut Carrol some slack because he's finally cashing in on his name. Others have been doing it for a long while.

You must admit old Carrol come a long way sinse the chicken ranch he left behind in Texas long ago and he is not the first Texan to come along selling a can of oil.
