We've done some work for Simson nitro racing
http://www.simpsonnitro.com/ And I've started to become good friends with one of the crew members Ronnie Wells. He tunes the cars. Helps rebuild the engines and clutches. And builds the chassis. They are off for the next three months until the NHRA nationals start. He stopped by today and invited me to come check out both of there shops. I told him I P/P the 90 ZR-1 And he asked me what I used to gauged the ports with. I told him with a ball gauge I made. He said bring the plenum and I/H to the shop and we will flow test them. "Cool"!
I know that flow is important on the heads. So my question to the tuners/builders on this site for our particular cars is how important is this on the plenum and I/H. In my mind the ball gauge seems to me the most accurate way to measure the type of ports that the Z has. And if I do get them flow tested will I become obsessed with making them all match. Or is it overkill.:dontknow:
