To say P/P work is completed and off to the powder coaters. These pics were taken with my cell phone so the quality is so so.

I've seen this extra hole drillrd right here on some of the IH housings I've seen in the past. Not sure if its necessary. But if it helps speak up.

Hmmmm.... Just curious what your interim expectations are, as it would appear you must be contemplating a staged approach - doing the heads later, yes? I see you siamesed the intake plenum, but left the primary port of the IH more or less at the original size. Is yours a 90 or a later model? (As I see what appears to be a bit of the primary injector boss remaining - not necessary on the earlier LT5s.)
Lots of ways to skin a cat. I'm just curious what the "master plan" is.

P. It's a 90. At this time I'm not planning to do the heads. I've opened the primary ports up to 36mm half way down then started gradually tapering them down to 33mm so they match the stock primary head port. If I opened the primary up to 36mm all the way through with the stock 33mm head port it would cause a serious missmatch and would be like hitting a brick wall for air flow. I've removed as much of the injector bosses as I could without having to break into the fuel injector bore to much. The plenum and injector housings that I used to copy what I did to mine from were uglier than mine and still had a little left of the injector bosses. They weren't totally gone. And that cars base dyno was 335rwhp. After those P/P plenum and injector housings were put back on in combination with Jeal headers Mgana flows and dr gas and a good tune it dynoed at 409rwhp. If I get somewhere in the ball park of 385rwhp I'll be happy. If it ends up being more than great.
But if I decide to have the heads done I'm just going to go for a 368 build. And I'll let one of the builders do that.

nice work rick...you ready for mine now...haha Hehe! I tell you what Ryan if you can wait until this winter I'll knock em out for you. Then I can work on them in the garage intead of the master bathroom. It turns the bathroom into a mess. Leaves a layer of aluminum all over everything. God bless my wifes soul for putting up with it. My garage temp has been hovering right about 110 deg.

Bathroom??? You are kidding right??? Your wife must be an amazingly patient women.
Hard to see exactly where you're at regarding the primary bosses in the pics but you can pretty much take them down to the roof as the injectors seal high in the housing.

She puts up with my crap all the time. But it's a two way street. I've got to put up with Star Trek,Stargate Atlantis,Twilight,Buffy the vampire slayer. She's a Sci-fi geek. And I'm not so much. I'm more of blood and guts horror film fan.

If you ported those in the bathroom, I hate to see how many aluminum slivers you have in your AZZ!...or worse!
Looks nice!

I knew we were getting ready to put ceramic tile in and repaint the bathroom anyway so I said F it. But I highly don't recommend doing it in your bathroom. The combination of the aluminum dust and wax used to keep the aluminum from building up on the grinder bit getting slung all over the walls isn't good.

I new it would'nt take you long to sell the Zo6 limited edition it was beautiful. I'm sure you hated to let it go. But you did the right thing keeping the 94 ZR-1. The Zo6's are a dime a dozen. But this winter we will give it a little more seat of the pants power with the porting and a set of Jeals.

I guess there are worse things than porting in your bathroom:

Notice the absence of decor? Looks like the ex-wife took it when she moved out. Wonder what wall he took out to get it in there?
I can't believe anyone's wife would allow you to do port work in the bathroom :jawdrop: Where did you put the air compressor?:eusa_shhh

Once back in 1973 I rebuilt a VW engine in my spare bedroom! A friend of mine keeps his Harley in his Den. Of course, he is not married. Believe it or not, we are not rednecks either!

Trust me Jerry I havn't gotten away unscaved. The car has caused a few blowouts since I've had it. The typical questions are "Why do have to work on it so much?" You spend more time working on it than you do with the family. And its about this point that I start growling at her from under or over or where ever I may be on it. How do you explain it to somebody who's never going to get it anyway? Everything is black and white in there world. My only answere to her is "That's just the way it is." I can't promise I'll never have to fix something on it again in the future. In fact I can almost guarantee I will. Single guys don't have to deal with that.

But even the sweetest ones can get madder than a hornet sometimes. Sometimes I laugh, And sometimes I run because I just don't know what she might pick up in the kitchen and throw at me.
