Hey guys...I finally got off my a$$ and registered over here. I've spent to much time on the other (CF) site. Anyway, it looks like I can learn alot from the experts who reside here judging by the posts.....

Thanks brother....I see a lot of people over here I recognize that used to hang out in the ZR-1 section of the "Forum". This is probably where I should have been in the first place when I bought my '94 Z two years ago.

Welcome my Z Brother, I remember when you picked that beast up. What kind of rims are mounted on your car? I like the 5 thin spoke look. I'm looking at HRE, CCW, & Coddington wheels now.

Welcome aboard!!
About time!!!

So.....
Which is it, "Banned Camp" or "PermaBanned"?
j/k
The Z section over there has been slow-slow-slow for so long it's not funny. Serves 'em right, the azzhat Mods booted out all the cool people.... (me included...)

Has it been as hot up there in Redding as it is down here in Folsom?
Was 114 in the shade in my back yard yesterday afternoon.

Gotta do that lunch sometime after it cools down and I get girlfriend running right again.
Seems every time I go for a drive in it, something costs me money. :redface:Developed a missfire after heatsoak, got the plenum off replacing the coil packs. Hope that cures it...

Thanks.....Those are Boyd Coddington's ''Rebel'' wheels. I like the simple and clean look that they give. I will say they have had some ''problems'' after American Racing bought out Coddington wheels a while back. That said, Coddingotn was smart enough in turn to rebuy the wheel shop since their name was on them. Coddington handled a problem for me even though American had the franchise at the time of purchase..
I wouldn't be afraid to deal with them again as long a I delt with them directly...not a distrubitor of their wheels.

Hi Tom

We still have to do lunch...BTW even if its 115 degrees...if you pull your plenum again for any reason...give me a call. I really need to get in on one of these just to see how it is done by an expert. The car runs like a scaled dog but I know there will come a day......

Welcome. I remember that Z. Love that color. Hang on to it for me a little while because I might buy it off you one day soon. Perfect color. Perfect year.
P.S. My brother lives in redding. he says it keeps him out of San Quinton/Folson and Solidad. I guess its hard to get into trouble if you practically live in the Rocky Mountains away from everybody.

The only thing unfortunately that the "other" site can offer that this one cannot is to educate the stray online Corvette surfer who wants to know what ZR-1s are all about. We DO want our cars to be recognized (not that we care most of the time). A healthy interest in the vehicles will lead to healthy market conditions especially by creating the interest and excitement that will make someone want to go out and purchase one of these beasts.

Thanks guys.....I can see how much knowledge is floating around here that isn't anywhere else. My old man once said (God save his soul) "when you don't know something, surround yourself with folks that do." This sure looks like the place.
