Just checking who was at Vette fest at Mid-America last weekend. Good showing of Zr-1's there. There was 4 total in the hotel that I stated at alone. There was about 15 that I saw total. Just wanted to say HI to all the cars there.

Saw a real nice white 92 (not mine  ) with white wheels and white leather interior. That was a beautyful color combo.

Who else was there? I had my white 92(stock) with WI plates.

Thanks for the nice comment on the white/white ZR-1. I'm fortunate to be the owner of it. Car has about 39,000 miles and we enjoy it every weekend, weather permitting!
It was chosen by Lance Miller as a judge's choice on Sunday.

yes post a pic 4 us to see BB!!! Hey FFVM next time ur jonesing 4 sumthing to do give me a call (815-344-6688) and drive on down to McHenry to see my vettes ect.!!! Perhaps I will recip. and come up to cheeseland 4 a visit to ur place... Always wanted to see the headwaters of the Fox River I live on...I have figured on maps that this is where it starts at(see below map)...See if ur local cheeseheads agree with da flatlander on this and perhaps a sojourn to that spot and a visit to ur turf is in order!!! Went up to Lake Tishigan(in the ZR-1 via Burlington) with the better half in July and was surprised that it was as nice as it was!!! Lots of boats not many over 25' though!!! Suppose my 28' supercharged Scarab would be the talk of the lake if I ever took it there!!! And no doubt the DNR cops would have a field day with my very noisy open header exhaust no doubt $$$$$!!! We will have to get together sometime at least for a cruise. That is onesweet boat, you gotta take me for a ride sometime. I have only been on a boat once and yours looks like it would be a great time!! I live about 20 minutes north west of Burlington, but I dont get there too often.

buddyboy, where dod you get the rims done? I bought a set of the AFS ZR-1 wheels with the intention of doing that but have not got around to doing it. Are they painted or powder coated? That is exactly what I want!! I was drooling over that car hoping I would see you there but never did. That car is nearly my twin. Mine is a white 92 but with black interior and 38K miles!! I love that white interior!!

Hello ffvetteman, sorry we missed each other. The wheels were done by the previous owner. I talked to him on the telephone and he said it took them two tries at getting them right. They are powder coated and done right. I think the wheels is what attracted me to that car. I bought the car on Ebay and it came from the Massachusetts area. Someone out that way may be able to tell you who did the wheels.

I'm not a big fan of dredging up old threads, but I searched for Funfest and this was the only thread about attending it that I saw.

So.... Who's going next month?

If you have never been there, it is a good show. They do not seperate the cars, as there is too many. They are expecting 18,000 Corvettes this year.

They way things are looking with the Z, it will not be there, but I got the daily driver Vette that I will bring.

There is so many cars to look at and so many people there it is amazing. Plus it is cheap!! If you pre-register it is free and you get free food, poster and T-shirt.

Good time! Ive gone every year since 98.
