View Full Version : B&B w/C6 Z06 flappers
On Friday me and Al installed C6 Z06 vacuum actuators on my B&B Triflo tailpipes, all i can say is freaken awesome:thumbsup:
Sound is 50% down very tame driving around town and the rasonance is gone by 50% very quiet i can hear myself think :)
At WOT is a whole other story :-D
Like the McDonald's commercial says "i'm loving it"
Drove her all weekend.
Weird thing is when driving normal it sounds like a stock Z with Borlas when you get on it the sound transforms into a thundering big block.
Highly recommend this set up.

Pretty cool! Any pictures of the setup? Do you run a vacuum line from the engine back?
Will get pictures as soon as posible.

I didn't know you bought a C6 Z06 very nice.

Nice mod Pete
Wanted to do this a couple of years ago but couldn't find the actuators so I went the electric route.

They were cheap at Bloomington gold.
Yeah at one vendor..
the others wanted $400 a pair
My exhaust set up for those that don't know.
Jeal 2" headers no/cats,SW x-pipe,B&B's,Dynomax bullets.
These vacuum actuaters snap open real fast with no vacuum since they are spring loaded to stay open.
When you snap the throttle in neutral they open smoothly.
Again i'm very happy with this set up.
Dom,i figure i added about 2 lbs but don't you worry i will find a way to remove it elsewhere.:)

Sure, I used Warlock mufflers for the cutouts - the side with the cutouts is straight through with no muffling. Still need to finish the tailpipes. The advantage of electric is that you have total control of when and where you want to be wide open. Disadvantage is they take about 3 seconds to rotate fully.
