Jerry has orignals which is always the way to go. You can also try Flatoutgaskets.com located here in Illinois. He's a specialty gastket manufacturer formerly with FelPro. Currently he offers copper head gaskets for the LT5 but he has been talking about making standard gaskets recently. You may want to give them a call too.

I know Dom had some issues with the IH gaskets - don't know where he got them, but I do remember Marc H steering me to Jerry's gaskets to avoid problems with the IHs. I dunno 'bout the head gaskets, how some ever.

I ordered the gaskets from Jerry's site last Friday evening, they were in hand on Monday! The ZR is in-line, waiting for the "doctor" to see it. I loaded it on a trailer on Monday. I had thought of driving to the shop (about 80 miles away) and thought better of it. It's a good thing - when it came time to unload at the "doctor's" shop, it wouldn't start. A severe grinding crunching noise, would hardly turn over. I'm thinking I now have anti-freeze/water in at least one cylinder. Waiting for a report from the "doctor" on lower end damage now.
Thanks again guys for the info on Jerry's Gaskets!

Forgot this - I'm also thinking that since I didn't have the problem before putting on the special license plates, that if I change the plate to 1KOLZR1, my problems will all go away. What do you think?

Mike,
Who do you bring you car to for mechanical work? I didn't think there was anyone around your area.

I took it to Mark Zenk, in Sioux City, IA. I wasn't willing to let any of the shops here in Sioux Falls "experiment on the ZR. Their were a couple of shops that were familiar, but hadn't work on one. 3 of the 4 guys in our club(Sioux Fall Corvette Club) said that Mark would be the person that they would take their ZR to - so off it went.
Mark is just starting to work on it this afternoon, so I don't know the prognosis yet.
