Supposed to look at a 96 ZR1 tomorrow. VIN number actually even pulls up as a 96 DOHC 5.7L ZR1.

Now that I think about this. I'll bet it's an LT4 and the VIN decoders are just pulling it up as and LT5. We'll see for sure tomorrow but I'll bet that's the story.

No! It must be the almighty GS-ZR-1!:worship:

Here's I believe the correct VIN: 1G1YY2253T5102215

The car should be black/red, single top and an LT4. It's certainly a "base car"! I mention "base car" only because it's a C60 manual air car also. A "no frills" car for sure!

It's had a water pump at 98K ('07) and a PCM 64K ('02)!

Original delivery: Elpaso Texas

Does that sound like the car? I'd guess the car either in OKC or very close!!

Yep, bingo!

It was showing up on the dealer sale tomorrow as a DOHC 5.7L V8. I did a VIN decoder on it and it also showed a DOHC 5.7L V8. I looked up a few LT4's and found similar VIN's....... that's what it is.

Google is a "VERY GOOD" decoder! You can Google any VIN and if it's a legitimate VIN it will decode for anything that carries a 17 digit VIN since '81. If it's '81 or newer and Google doesn't recognize it there IS something wrong with the VIN and likely the car!!

I tried the VIN after I put it together and all I got from several were 5.7 V8 16 Valve. The services performed are from a quite reliable source!!

Is this the one? Not a ZR-1, doesn't even look like an LT-4 from the description there.

The picture of the interior shows a manual transmission. If it's a '96, then it's definitely an LT4. I think the description below the pics that says '4-speed automatic' is probably wrong.

According to my Canadian cousins sisters brothers friends it’s a Parliamentary ZR-1. This came straight out of Whitey’s mouth
