There is a 1991 LPE 415 on the registry for sale page. Anyone know the details on that car? Seems like a sweet deal.

Who wants my 94 so I can grab the 415?

Is it Hal Hunnicutt's? If so, it is a beast and a phenomenal deal. I haven't checked the registry sale page recently. Grab it while you can.

Treat yourself and get the 415 to compare with the 402. You only live once, enjoy the multiple Stroker LT5 lifestyle.

I'd be on it like stink on $#!T if I had any money, or a buyer for my 94. But it isn't even up for sale.

All I want is the motor...I like my 94.

How does this one with 576 rwhp and 11.2 et compare to other stroker LT-5s that are N/A and no nitrous?

Hal's 415 is the strongest rwhp (corrected to SAE J1349), N/A 415 I have data on. I've been researching this topic for a couple of years. There are possibly higher ones, but I have not seen the sheets on those.

A couple others have done 570's rwhp corrected to Dynojet STD conditions, which corrects about 2.5-3% higher than J1349. Limey's last 415 did 600-ish rwhp STD.

Frank's 440 was mid-580's @6700 (SAE) from what I remember.

Strongest engine dyno I have seen is high 680's for an LPE 415 with major cams. Corrected to STP conditions. 650-660 is about the norm for the LPE415 cars with the 239/.445 cams. I've heard tale of a Jeal 415 @ 724 many years ago, but not confirmed.

Not saying these are all of 'em, just the ones I've collected some numbers on. Would love to see more big ones posted here.

my 415 and my brother's 415 were both built by Marc Haibeck. We removed the mufflers to really wake them up and ran straight pipe through the X-pipe and produced 585rwhp and 500 rwtq (SAE). With the mufflers present the power was 579 rwhp and 491 rwtq (SAE).

Post em up. I'd be interested in the torque curve as well as the location of Peak Power. New thread, maybe?

I was searching tonight for my dyno sheets and found out my wife "cleaned" up in my den while I was in BG at the gathering 3 weeks ago and she may have disposed of them. I wasn't very happy to say the least. I will see if Marc still has a record of the original dyno he did for me when I took delivery
of the 415 4 years ago. If I can get it from Marc then i will need to figure out how to post it up. However this won't get done until after i return from France where i will be watching the 24 hours of Lemans and cheering on the C6Rs in their very last race as a GT1 entry.

Wasn't it 550's rwhp when Marc did it? I wanted to see the 585, man! Hope that sheet didn't get tossed.

when I took delivery from Marc it made 579 rwhp and 491 rwtq. the 585 rwhp was with the mufflers removed and straight pipe in their place. the shape of the curves between the 2 was virtually identical, with the second one just elevated a bit over the original. I am not slinging some B.S. with these numbers. It will probably be 3 weeks before I will have time to let you see the graph (Lemans is calling me).

I've owned this car since 2001. At Beech Bend in 2005, I ran an 11.2 at 134 mph on street tires and bumping the 7,000 rpm rev limiter in 4th gear.

On the original 415 build, LPE filed the secondary port throttle shafts flat for better airflow. In August 2006, Marc Haibeck found that the shafts were so thin they were bending, and the left side port throttles were stuck halfway open. Marc removed the port throttles, installed the R/C injectors and tuned the engine to run full time on all 16 injectors, improving the power delivery and throttle response dramatically. Dyno testing showed 576 corrected rear wheel horsepower through the mufflers, in ambient air temperature of 101 degrees.

Stock valves too. Dyno is in the members section. Marc never did get the driveability to what I would like but I asked him to bias the tune for WOT.
