Well Gang,
Another weekend full of fun and suds. Hope all had a good time, we sure did. Next year we’re going to do a little bit more planning though…:-)) (maybe we'll order better weather too)
Very nice to see the old faces but really nice to see the new ones. This year we had several "newbies" who were a blast. It’s always nice to see that glimmer in their eyes as they experience everything for the first time.
The Museum was setup superbly and the staff did a very good job. Everything flowed very well and I saw no hangups whatsoever. Even Roc is getting better at this…<huge grin>. No actually, most of you know that Roc and I had some disagreements in the past regarding the event so he and I had a nice long lunch a few months ago and like two mature adults, put our heads together and came out with a very positive attitude for the future. I wish that could be said for all within our group….
You guys kept the shop busy with misc repairs and services. Sure glad I keep all those old parts just in case!
Anyway, all is well, beagle’s almost recovered too.
Thanks Gang for another fun weeknd.
Jvd
P.s. The weather today is absolutely brilliant. Not a cloud in the sky....

Thanks Jim for hosting a nice get together at AutoMasters. It was great to see ZR-1 guys with a floor jack helping out fixing a tire. Great people is what it all about.
I also enjoyed you Pirate Racing Presentation at the Museum. It was entertaining and informative. You presented it well and I look forward to the release of your DVD.
I agree with you about the Museum doing an excellent job organizing the event. I also think the improvements to the Museum have added a lot of value to the Corvette Community.

JVD,
Sorry I missed seeing you, but was only able to get up to BG for a couple of hours on Friday.
The Wonder Beast is still going strong after your Pirates did their thing over the winter.
I wanted to tell you face-to-face about some new Dyno Pulls. My "little engine that could" put down some numbers that may require you to re-calibrate your "Butt-O-Meter!"

Hey, you promised not to tell anybody about our new LT5 package until we're ready! :)
Sorry we missed you but they did keep us pretty busy!
You mean my "seat of the pants" meter is off a bit? Maybe too much padding!

Yes, I was one of the newbies this week. My brother Tyghe and I had one the best times ever. It was great to meet everyone, get your input and stories, etc. It was also quite fun to have our *sses handed to us at the drag strip and at auto-cross.
We will be practicing over the next year so that never happens again!
Jim, your hospitality was the best.
David, Joe, Rick, Glenn, and everyone else... it was great to spend time with all of you and we look forward to more events and great times to come!
Oh, and "We drove it like we stole it" on the way to Nashville on Sunday. NCM to the airport in 44 minutes!

We had a great time at your place Jim. And I'd like to express my thanks for the whole (hole) group. It was great seeing everyone having a good time.
Now let's see some pic's.

Here are some crappy Cellphone pics. Someone else with a good camera will have to add some that are better.

JVD(Jim)...Keith and I were sure glad you had an spare used 315 35 17! That chunk o' metal did that GS-D3 some serious damage! I know Keith really appreciates what you did for him...and I do too. You are a stand up guy for sure. Without your support we would have driven home on a space saver or we would have had to drive to Nashville to get a tire from Mr. Biffle. Again...thanks a bunch...you are a true gentleman.

I'm with Uly in thanking JVD for the help with Keith's tire situation and the hospitality at the BBQ!!!!
This noob is now has a better understanding of the words "Brothers of the Beast"....no one from the outside would believe it if you told them.
Keith ran over a piece of metal that ripped a gash in the tread & right thru the carcass, tire went down in a split second. The debris was on the entrance ramp for 65 north bound from Exit 22.
I'll let Ron tell what happened to his LSV.

The GM video presented by Jim Ingle was outstanding. If anyone has heard a faster 1->2 shift please step up. We've got to invite Jingles next year and get him to do a drag racing seminar. And maybe show his signature 360 degree burnout ... And he said he never broke a ZF after all that.
And thanks to JVD and the beagle (I left some MGD Lite in the fridg).

Nice pictures George. I have GOT to make it a priority to make this trip in '10.
Hope you and a lot of the brotherhood will be there in '10. It will be the 20th anniversary of the first year of production AND the record setting run. I know that big plans are already being made to commemorate the 20th so it should be a terrific gathering ... one NOT to miss.
