I was just curious if anyone on the forum had this done to intake plenum.
If so, did the result make it worth while?

from what I've heard for the cost/benefit perspective, you're better off getting it ported or leaving it stock

I ran into a website and it seems $700+ for honing.
Perhap combination of porting and honing coulss be worth while.

Frankly in my case exhaust headers is a logical place to start. However, relocated, high flow cats and after market exhast headers (altering emissions equipment) scares me in dealing with VA state emissions.

the port and eh could be useful yes. there are many of us in va who have changed out stuff on the exhaust. Maybe ron can talk about getting his LSV to pass or some of the others could too.

I have a 415 Rippie Package...415 refers to hp not cubes.....it was extrude honed and although the walls were smoothed out and some increase in flow, a 35MM ball would sit on the top of the runners, meaning the openings were 34 or less.....so not the same as a hand job:icon_pai:

Sorry could not resist the double entendre:mrgreen:

So go get a hand job!

Pete is a Chicago member, honestly he is just a porting Guru, not sure he is still doing it or not.....can contact him if you want his "Pete" on the forum.

Ha, ha...That's great!
Let me get my kids through school first, then exhaust headers (by then I should know what can be done in this sqeaky clean state of VA, then it would be intake side. Hopefully we would still have some oil left when I get there.

Also porting and a cat-back will free up a fair bit, without any emissions concerns. You can always go headers later.
