The procedure is in the owner's manual.

Any clues on how to proceed if this doesn't work?
I've tried every timing possible on the two hits to ENG/MET and can't get a flashing "CHANGE OIL", just stays steady.
Thanks,
- Jeff

Did you hit the range button and hold which is the final button for the procedure on your 91?

Pounded on it like the deranged monkey that I am. Tells me all about the range but without a flashing CHANGE OIL that's all I get.
Yikes,

for the earlier cars the 'range' button is the one to push because there is not a gauges button that shows the digital coolant and oil temps. the above video should work.

The deranged monkey sometimes wins.
Finally hit the cadence that worked, even 1/2 sec intervals ENG/MET ENG/MET RANGE. That got the flash, then held RANGE 10 sec or so. Phew.
Thanks for the support, some days I just don't get along with GM stuff!
Best,
- Jeff
