hey members,

I posted this in the Southeast Region, but wanted to make sure everyone knew about this loss in our brotherhood.

We lost a dear friend yesterday.... HD Catts (Harry), was leaving Carlisle PA on his Motorcycle heading home and was hit / killed yesterday afternoon. Thankfully he was with his son Darrin when he passed way.

I'm honored to call Harry a friend and I am really hurt by his tragic death. This is a true car guy and real CLASS person.

Harry is in the Red cap / leather jacket on the left

FYI Harry's son Darrin did everything together.... Between motorcycles, corvettes and they were planning on going to Bowling Green together in Harry's ZR-1. They were best friends and that is rare for a father / son. Harry was a real great person and anyone who met him knows this.

He will be missed.

Anyone near Hagerstown MD and would be able to come to his Viewing or Funeral would be appreciated. Spoke to Darrin and he said his dad would be honored if there were Corvettes there for him.

Vewing is Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm

Funeral is @ 10 to 11am and the service starts @ 11am

We would love to have Corvettes there if anyone can come.

Any questions, please let me know. I'll be happy to pass along any messages.

thank you

Very very sad... I had met HD for the first time when he came to the detailing GTG...very much the gentleman and could tell he and Darrin had a special relationship. He was so enthused about attending ZR gatherings and was looking forward to more.
He will be missed...

Harry was a wonderful man. I met him in Bowling Green last year. He and Darrin were having fun seeing the ZR-1's and talking to the folks. When we got the NoVA-MD ZR-1 Group started up, Harry attended several events and was always a joy to talk to. He was doing things that he liked doing. When we met at Michael's in April he was showing me the headers and Corsa he had just put on his 1990 ZR-1. He told me he was planning to drag race at BG this year.

I will miss Harry Catts.

Darrin, we are sorry for your loss. I know that you and your Dad were good friends, and that is something special.

It is always sad to loose a loved one, especially through non natural causes. My heart goes out to all of his friends and family.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him. But that's really terrible news. I'm really sorry to hear that.

Thanks for the kind words. I lost my Dad and best friend at the same time. We did everything together, Between our bikes and vettes (even though mine was a C-6) we were always enjoying life together.

I sincerely appreciate the support from the ZR-1 brotherhood.

Sorry Darrin can't say enough about how cool your dad was the few times that we got together. A very big loss to the hobbie and even greater loss to you my friend.
