I noticed today when putting the 90 back together there was a date stamp on the back....forgot to get pics, but did not notice that on the 92. Anyone else seen this?
As I am still chasing the vac leak I will have the plenum back off tomorrow. Replacing the injector O-Rings helped as the idle no longer surges to 1200-1500 but hangs at about 900RPM.
The vac lines attached to the middle of the plenum are also not hlding vacuum now.

Vac line cracked or vac connectors loose/split from age or vac canister bad or check valves shot or vac pump needs rebuilding or combo of any or all. Is the vac pump running on or just running a start up?
Date stamp...assume you mean a 'stamped on' date stamp..where to you fine this specifically? As for me if found this when I had the plenum pulled this winter...

BK
Was free hand engraved on the crankcase vent valve cover... assume BK is Bill Kepple who was one of the engine builders at MerCruiser.

I found this handwritten note under the DIS module when I removed it to replace the lube/heatsink goo under there. My car has a 11/90 build date so that kind of makes sense.
I like seeing and finding little tidbits like this in our cars. There are a whole assortment of stamped codes on the left front corner of my oil pan. That was pretty intriguing.
