According to Timken's application guide, for a '90 the front bearing is #513019 and the rear is #513020. RockAuto has the fronts for $150 each, and the rears for $140 each.

I would think that's a good price, but don't really know. I've always heard they are good bearings, that's what I've bought for other cars. Are they a good choice on these cars?

Several years ago, there was a lengthy discussion about different mfg wheel bearings. I remember the thread because I was planning to replace all 4 of mine. The final concensus was that Delco was the best, not for price, but for reliability.

Now, there is a HD rear offered with a better bearing than OEM Delco. The rears are more prone to failure than the front. Here's the description. Sounds like a Timken style bearing.

I just had fronts & rear bearings from Corvette Recycling installed. These are NOS GM and they had the best prices that I have found.

used to handle ACDelco for the 91-96 too. Looks like cheap not-so-good stuff now.

It would be nice if you could just replace the bearings instead of buying the whole hub. But it doesn't look like thats an option. I'm gonna keep my eyes and ears open for a good deal on all four. So far $100 a piece front and $199 for rear are the best price yet I've seen. I've used Timken bearings for non auto related things and they are good stuff.

National by federal mogal have held up good for me if there the ones with a national ink stamp on the rotor mount flange.

Those seem like prices for Asian made assys. Save your money & buy American pieces in this area. Safety has no price.

I agree. I was just trying to avoid paying $300 a pop for them. I'm gonna keep looking for a lower price on GM ones. I'm in no hurry.

has anyone tried the tapered bearing thats out ? or what are evryones thoughts on them. are they better like they say or not ? if they are ,rick i could send you the 2 on my white car that are 5k mile old gms. just thinking since i seem to end up at the strip too much might want to invest in the tapered ones if indeed they are better . that would save you a couple of bucks

As far as I know, Timken's are made in the USA. If the GM stuff is $300 a pop, this would seem to be half the price. Am I missing something? Are these a bad choice?

$199 for rears.

I just replaced all four of mine using these bearings. They were still in the ACDelco boxes. :thumbsup:
