Originally introduced in August of 2008 and currently on display at the International Racing Show Liège in Belgium, the 505hp Matiz is the stuff which nightmares are made of. Summoned from the depths of sleeper hell by expert tuner Yves Fourdin and his team of engineers at Fourdin Auto Sport, the 138″ x 59″ minute Matiz was gutted of its original powertrain and outfitted with a 505 horsepower 7.0L V8 Corvette Z06 engine. Thanks to the upgrade, the Matiz is now capable of sprinting from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in 10.94 seconds before maxing out a top speed of 162 mph (260 km/h). Undeniably impressive specs for any ride, we’re finding it extremely difficult to enjoy indulging in this bit of shameless excess when we’re overcome with the horrifying idea that somewhere, somehow, there’s a Corvette Z06 being powered by a 50 bhp 796cc 3-cylinder engine.
