Well after a flurry of winter projects the last lingering project is coming to a close... the refinishing of the rear alloys. After 5 weeks of waiting finally got the rear alloys back from the refinisher. There was some clear coat blemishes and a few nicks...guess the wait was worth it>>>

New GY D3 tires going on in next couple days, but since ZR was on the lift took this shot...somewhat funky with alloys on without tires ;)

Thanks for Dave J for the moral support :handshak:

Who did your wheels? I have ZR-1 wheels on my car now, but owner had the original wheels he threw in. They are in rough shape and need a face lift.

Wow...now ready to go cruising...................NOT............ looked at Virginia inspection sticker and it expired in January  Normally, would just go have inspection done today but I am out in the C6 playing with the GT40 boys. Guess that is OK for a consolation prize
Well, at least after about 3 months of being up on the lift the ZR is now sitting back on the ground.

Wheels looking good! I'm not even 1/2 way thru my winter projects. Starting to look like it will be Junish before I finish the porting and the headers and rear gear stuff.. Let's hope June 1st at the latest!

Naaaaww not me Mike. Paul is the ambitious one. :worship:
My headers are still in the box!:o
Besides my front end is almost 19 yrs old and over greased. All the boots exploded off of their bases. The car was like that when I got it. I figured that I've forced it to live on borrowed time long enough. It's high time that I did the right thing by her. Next year the rear suspension is up to the plate, ouch that's gonna leave a mark in my checkbook!:sign10:

Sure...with an expired inspection sticker... Va State LEOs would have a field day with me:o Besides I need something with over 500 hp to play with the GT40 guys... my C6 fits to bill quite nicely:thumbsup:

I think for next winter I will tackle the custom exhaust I thinking of...keeping the rear cans/set up (to look OEM) but a different mid section.

I was thinking that when I get around to the headers to keep the stock mufflers and just substitute an LT4 resonator into the existing plumbing. I figure that it may breath better and not have any annoying resonance at cruise in 6th.
I doubt that it will be anywhere near an optimal system, but then my top end isn't ported. I doubt leaving the OEM mufflers will make it suffer that much. I can't see that a 3" system is needed behind headers on a stock motor. JMHO.

Looks great and sets the standard on how all sawblades should look. Thanks for sharing. GC

I didn't think those wheels (which do look great by the way) are referred to as sawblades. I thought only these are sawblases. Am I wrong?

Some people call them cusianarts, I call the entire family saw blades, but you are correct the 91-93s are more sawblades like before the 94-95 series A-molds

Tisk, tisk, tisk....
The '90's are called "Salad Shooters".
Personally, I think they're be best looking of all 4 styles, but I'm biased.
