I just heard from Marc H.

It seems my car "Oprah Moneypit" is ready to leave rehab, sometime next week. I am planning on flying to Ohare on Saturday the 28th.
If anything is goin on, I would possibly stay the night. and drive
home on Sunday.

There's a hotel right behind Home Run. Look for hotels in Addison, IL, Route 20. That'll put you very close to I-355. 20 minutes later you're on I-55 headed to St. Louis.

Pete, Nice video. Great performing ZR-1! At those speeds you should be able to get from the airport to Marc's in about 4 minutes.

I was going to ask you when I called, but sounded like you were busy so I didn't want to hold you up on the phone. It was a good time, Marc answered alot of questions. I even got a few parts for my 90, I think it ran from anout 12-4 and then everyone went to Home Run Inn, I left about 5:30.

No matter... I did spend half the day working on the stuck bolt. Managed to break two bolt extractor tools and the bolt is still in there, only now the bolt has a tool steel core to it.

(For those that weren't able to make it, ya missed a good one (BBQ n BS'n 'bout Zs:dancing)) Now, more than ever, I wanna get to the end of my porting and get to installing the exhaust and go terrorize the blacktops!

A big thanks go out Jim,Dave and Marc, for making the chicago mini gathering a fun time. Pete picked me up at the airport, thanks bro.
and when we arrived at Mark's a few minutes after Noon, quite a few of the boys were already there. WE all then, told lies for a couple of hours,
around, 3:30 pm Jeff, showed me the way to the Home run pizza so i could
watch the Ncaa basketball tourney, "missouri"' was playing and lost to uconn by a handful of points.
we had a few drinks, ate some pizza, and listened to story's. about submarines, and car mods, at 10 pm we were
gonna go the hotel, but after Jim, Dave and i discussed our situation.
They were following me back to st. louis in Jim's car. WE decided to drive south a couple of hours, in case of heavy snow.
We stopped in Urbana. Hotel 6, (they left the light on)
had breakfast at Denny's where, Dave had his eye on our waitress,
and then, motored into the "Lou" and to Moudy's Bar & Grill. The boys got to meet my wife, Terri, ate a snack, "calizone" and after a couple of hours,
hit the road to complete their roadtrip.
My car runs pretty strong, a little quicker than before, although hard to tell with wet pavement. thanks to the boyz from Illionoiz, that showed up
and made our impromtu, gathering a blast, hope to see you all in Bowling Green, if the creeks don't rise.... Keith

I highly recommend getting in your ZR-1, just pick a destination and drive!!!

I started out with a simple plan to see Keith and ended up with 2000 miles of fun and perma-grinning.

We stopped in South Bend over night and, on Saturday morning, got to see the College Football Hall of Fame before driving on to the Chicago area.

We were welcomed to Chicago by Marc Haibeck and the Fast Boys from Illinois. What a great bunch of guys. Thanks to Brian, Fred, Bob, Bob G, Pete, Dominic, Bob, Paul, Lee, Jeff, Kevin and some more for a great time.

We got out of Chicago late Saturday Night to avoid the snow and stopped near Bloomington, IL.

On Sunday we "shoveled out"...
