Well, this Beast is getting closer and closer to coming out after 3 long years. This front spoiler came out better than expected, but not with a few challenges for fitment; quite a bit of cursing at times I must add.

I like my BAD too!! Did you install the stainless debris screen while you were in the cursing process?

Thanks for the comments and it really turned out nicer that I had expected; maybe it is just the photo. The shop that painted it called me to tell me that he was not satisfied with the quality of the spoiler and I don't think the manufacturer really intended on color match since it will take a beating. He said if it was okay to do some work to it and I figured might as well do it right so I'm really pleased how it turned out.

As for the stainless screen, I was not happy with the fitment so I left it off and will do a custom one that will serve a purpose. The one that came from the company that sold the BMAD did not mount right to me and left gaps that did not make sense.....at least the way that I was trying to install it and the mounting area provided.

Thanks again and I can't wait to get this Z on the road in the next few weeks.

Aloha!

Yes I did not understand why the stainless screen did not extend correctly to both sides of the air dam. (Shame as it was very well constructed) However, I beleive the intent was to keep the big debris out such as leaves and white plastic bags and such and I can clearly state in that reguards it works as advertised. I too was unhappy with the mount and just moved it to straddle the middle of the Dam. Actually it did not come out too bad. After recently doing my radiator I can easily say something to protect against what I found in my radiator shroud area is better than no solution. Enjoy. GC

Thanks again for all the comments. I can't wait to get it on the road as it seems like it has been forever. I still have much to do, but trying to get focused.

GC,

I'm going to try to figure a nice way to get it mounted and agree with you. I think I am going to ask Eric about the why on the size and the mounting location. I almost was going to pc it black, but did not want to waste the cash on it since it was not custom fitted nicely.

Thanks again!

Okay, thanks. I'll PM you with address. I happened to be looking at it last night to figure out a better way to mount a nice screen (black) in there.

Aloha,
Craig

Craig for my BMAD Screen insert I used the center support brace for more stability as well. I simply placed the screen centered on the backside edge. I think it came ok its not angled but my arm was while underneath. GC

Thanks Keith. You might not remember that I had those side vent inserts on mine too. I think I might go custom with my own, especially since I have a different spoiler and the BMAD. I would be afraid I would have to mess with it or be disappointed. They do make some good stuff though.

Thanks again

GC,

That looks great and you did a good job with it. I'll try and play with it more to see if can get a nice fit with theirs before I move on to try something else. It seems the mounting tabs for the center deflector could be a good mounting place if I decided to go with something else and will relook using the center support brace too.

Thanks again!!!
