I just wanted to tell everyone about my previous experience with AEROSPACE COMPONENTS. Normally they do drag & street brake kits based on their 4 piston calipers. They dont actually make a brake kit for C4 Corvette but I had an unused set of their calipers & rotors from a Mustang project. I called up and they said they could fab the brackets for a reasonable price. I sent them front and rear spindle and brake assemblies and soon afterwards got my parts back. The kit they fabbed up was awesome. Completely replaces the rear caliper mounts with billet aluminum versions. Just gorgeous.

The part that was really awesome, where AC went above and beyond:
The front calipers I had wouldnt work with the C4 setup so they swapped them out for free even though they were about 2 yrs old.

The rear rotors I had needed to be swapped as well, but I didnt realize it until the day after I had installed the rotors onto the hubs with lots of red loctite. I tried and couldnt even break one loose, so I sent them the rotors with the hubs. They removed the bolts for me and still swapped the rotors for free. INSANE!!

I cant express how awesome those guys are and I doubt they would ever do it again if someone calls up and says "Ive got your mustang kit that I want to put on my Vette." Im sure they lost a good amount of $$ on that one but they still treated me awesome. Im not a good customer of theirs, in fact when I first called they couldnt pull up any of my previous purchases on their computer but they still treated me with respect. Really Awesome. AEROSPACE COMPONENTS doesnt really make anything for ZR1 and I doubt many of you want drag oriented products but WOW, what a great company to deal with.

They are drag race only. .81 thick rotors.

Very good of you to post your experiance, 8upZR1. I've dealt a fair bit with Aerospace over the years & they are very good to deal with, wish everybody was that good. they are mostly drag orientated but they do have some street stuff, vented rotors & such, off the top of my head i want to say the vented rorors they have are 1¼" thick. uses the same caliper with a spacer to make room for the wider rotor. road racing is not their game though, to be sure. if you want drag type brakes, they are the 2nd best product out there. if you want drag type brakes at a decent price, they are the ones to go to.
