ZR1 curb weights?

I'm looking for a C4 to autocross and was wondering how much ZR1's weigh. http://www.zr1netregistry.com/ZR1_performance.htm lists some info but I'm looking for some real world numbers. I've head they can get down to the low 3200's. Do the earlier cars weight less than later ZR1's?

I think the numbers in the chart are fairly accurate. A 3200 lb ZR1 would have required weight reduction to get there. My 1990 weights 3450 with race wheels and tires, but I have added and subtracted items that change its weight from the stock value. I never weighted it when stock.

Hello Jeff, and welcome to the forum. :handshak:

I agree that the chart closely reflects the accurate weight. Two things that are a must to remove for weight reduction before racing is the spare tire, and the good looking woman that is bound to be in the car once you own a ZR-1. :wink:

Also, the earlier ZR-1's were slightly lighter.

Hope you wind up finding out how much fun ZR-1's are to own.

That's what I'm trying to find out, how much lighter. Trying to compare weights on an 89 Z51, 90 ZR1 and a later ZR1. It's tough to beat the prices on the 89's though.
