Really is a well done add for a seemingly stunning car.

Fine example...love to see a ZR-1 like this...but my interest is what I am seeing as compared to my ZR. My ZR is #566 and one on ebay is #624:
-Looks like the transition from steel to aluminum half shafts at #622 is holding true>>

On my ZR it too did not have the engine sticker (red <) yet in some engine bay pics of 1990 ZRs the sticker is seen.

The white < shows an area that seems to be inconsistent in finish coming from BG... in the pic above note area is body colored and on my ZR it is black>>

Finally, I have been told more than once the hose clamps on my ZR are replacements in that they are the screw type as opposed to spring style seen on many ZRs... well like the transition from steel to aluminum half shafts looks like there was a change is clamp types...when??..so far looks like a MY90 to MY91+ change but not sure...well that will be for another bit of sleuthing :hello: >>>

Nice reference pics for future NCRS types...

Somebody is gonna buy a nice ZR-1, that car is sweet.
That is a lesson in how to make an ad for selling a car. Kudos to those guys, they're "on it". For sure that is the way to advertize a car.
Mike, I think that there is some info about the cooling system hose clamp change over at the NetReg site. I know that mine, #2233 built in May 90, came with the sprung steel ones. The complaint from owners was "the smell of coolant" after the car heat cycled. GM's answer after pondering the issue was that the alum. parts were expanding & contracting at a rate that the "ideal type clamp" couldn't account for and that was causing a vapor leak which the owners were smelling. Obviously the sprung steel clamps move with the aluminium as it heat cycles.

Great add. Really provides the details that I have not seen on any sales add. Unless you do the research that level of information goes wasted. It sure lets the uniformed know what they are looking at. Of interest to me was why there were no photos of the engine the star of the show?. :icon_scra

Overspray is certainly a possibility. That would be my guess as well. Great Ad and good post up. Beautiful NCRS example, I hope it get every penny hes asking
Nice ad. There is a speck of dust on the ashtray cover, though.

A BIG thing to ask the sellers of these type of cars:
1. do the headlight work(pop ups)
2. CD/amps work
3. seat lumbar pumps/and blatter
4. rear hatch lifts
This might not seem to be a big deal, it adds up when you try for TopFlight!

Yes!...and can add up $$$ when having to repair those items. New air pump and bladder for one seat will run around $230 and that assumes no controller (air and electric) problems.

Quite right Michael. As we compared our cars, my car (#1383) has an unpainted area past the coolant reservoir. I'll have to take a picture of mine. So now we've seen unpainted, red and black there.

I also feel better about the condition of my car after looking at this one. And I actually drive mine!
