Gentlemen:

Saw an add, on Ebay, for a '92 ZR-1 for sale in Baton Rouge. Appears to be a nice car, but it was Gray in color with 81k miles. I checked my sources and found there was no gray color for '92, but the seller indicates it is an "Original" color. From the photos it appears similar to the U88 paint code of the '03-'04 Medium Spiral Grey.

Does anyone know of a gray color used on '92 Corvettes / ZR-1's?

Anyone familiar with this car, #800206 out of Oklahoma City, OK?

Contacted the seller and requested interior/engine pictures and waiting the response.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

100% a repaint. Zero grey ZR-1's made. Steel blue and Charcol yes.... But no grey.

I'll let others chime in.

Looks like a great car anyway.

Thanks for the response. My brochure shows Medium Quasar Blue and Bright Aqua as the only two potential colors and they are not close. I'll see what the seller responds with.

Like you said, it appears to be a good looking car and someone went through the trouble to give it a total repaint.

It's not Black Rose, but that was an awesome color.

Thanks again.

I do recall a black rose 92 that was for sale here in Oklahoma City a few years back. Maybe??

I'm near Baton Rouge, if anyone wants me to look at it. I have never seen the car around here.

The car was originaly black when it was first on ebay on or about 6/27/06 out of Texas for $19,895 BIN with 80,000 miles.

It again showed up on ebay out of Texas on 2/14/08 as a gray car with 80,281 miles for a BIN of $22,500.

Once again it showed up as a gray car on 2/8/09 on ebay out of Louisiana with 81,688 miles on it. No particulars about selling price this time.

Thanks for all of the information. I'm going to pass on it and continue to work on the '92 I already have.
