I'd get your originals redone by a company that specializes in hoses and AC.

I agree that can be done at a reasonable price in Stainless with nice fittings. Unless this is a NCRS deal.

Ask for Nettie, tell her it's another set of the "Fancy Corvette" hoses.
You will need to have the old hoses sent over here so that they can cut the old hoses from the manifold and weld male fittings on to them.
Good luck!!

David,
Were you ever able to run down a local shop that would do this. Just spendt today chancing one of my oil leaks. My oil cooler lines are leaking bady, got to get this fixed. The hoses should be faily easy to get fabricated, but getting the cooler ends treaded will be the trick. Let me know
Thanks

Hi!
I got my mechanic looking for a new piece (GM). He tells me if unsuccessful, he knows a shop near Bethesda that can have the hose rebuilt.
I will keep you posted.

Can anyone tell me if the oil cooler fitting up by the radiator simply unbolt right at that joint with the single center bolt?

There are two "O" rings on the end of the manifold, be careful not to drop them inside the radiator shroud when you unbolt it and pull it out.
Don't ask how I know this.:redface::rolleyes:

I found a guy online in Florida whole has a braided hose assembly with fitting and incoporates a piece that bolts right up to the cooler. A bit pricy but with labor rates what they are, may be the way to go. Will keep you posted.

There's about $100 worth of parts and maybe an hours labor including welding to fab up new hoses.
Any competent tractor/forklift repair shop or automotive air conditioning shop should be able to make you a set.

I am happy to report oil cooler line has been replaced.
Mike w/ BCC Auto removed the old hoses and had it couriered to Colli Flower Hydraulics in Gaithersburg, MD (301 315 2600). The hose was couriered back to BCC Auto and reinstalled.
Actual hose rebuild was $90.
Mike, the owner of BCC Auto Repair, by the way, is also an owner of 90 ZR-1.

That's a link to your local computer. No one but you will be able to see it. You need to host it online, or email the picture(s) to me at corvettezr11990 at aol.com and I will host them up for you. :)

Looks pretty similar to mine except that you've gone with compression fittings on the manifold to the cooler.
Wish I'd thought of that.
How did you manage to get the compression fittings to seat & seal without collapsing the aluminum pipes?
Is there a special trick?

Personally, I prefer this look to the too loud braided steel lines with the bright blue and red colored A/N fittings.

I had it sent out to hydraulic repair shop called Collie Flower in Gaithersburg, MD.
I wasn't too particular in how they made it work except for not leaking since this is my daily driver.
