hey guys
Talking with Michael about his car and detailing.... Asked if he would be up for hosting another event about detailing cars and if you have seen Michael's car, you will understand my interest in knowing HOW he got it that way.

I was thinking of ordering ribs from Memphis and learning how to detail "right". Of course there will be adult beverages available!!!
Thought I would see what interest there was.
cheers

If I remember correctly, Michael told us about 9 months ago he paid someone to buff it professionally. And it does look really good.

Are you talking about ribs from Corky`s? If so, i eat there about 3-4 times a year. The next time will be not to long from now comming home from Super Chevy Show. Makes me hungry just thinking about them.

I know a Rib place in downtown Memphis that has won Memphis in May 5 times for it's Ribs!
A few members have tasted them and was thinking of making another big order.
I have tried Corky's... Yum!

Darrin, I meant to ask you at the last get-together. I thought I remembered Gettysburg fire trucks being red - how did you end up with a yellow Corvette?

By accident I guess??
I read somewhere that the yellow ones are the fastest!!!

We will try to plan this with warmer weather. Maybe mid / late march or early April?
Michael, your thoughts?

We will have time to do both. I am standing by with tools in hand to get your car fixed up. I sure hope you don't have to sell.:(

This will a totally weather dependent gathering... so looking more into April... this will be great... can eat sticky greasy ribs  then detail a car :dancing
Yes to the 'professional buffing out' and then I do the waxing and rest of detailing. I use to give detailing classes for MB club due to my standings in the concours events.
In fact I will see if I can get the fellow who did my car to do a little show and tell...he is a character...almost like a mad scientist

Alright..we have a date April 12 (Sunday) starting at 10 a.m. I have confirmed the master detailer (who did my total paint finishing) is available and will be attending. I am also working on some products to be available. Dave 'the BBQ man' is taking care of the ribs... I will provide brew and non alcoholic drinks. What I need to know is a confirmation of who is really going to attend so I can get a few 'sponsors' to cough up goodies
Dave wants this a 'rain or shine' event which means if we have foul weather just drive whatever you want ;) Anybody drives a Yugo???

We have a few coming from quite a distance... One possibly from Pittsburgh and another from N Jersey!
Figure costs to be $15 to $20 and we will have Ribs / condiments.... I'll order "too many" ribs so that attendee's can bring some home.
The ribs aren't cheap, but the man who makes them in Memphis has won Memphis in May 5 times! Takes him 8 hours to make and I'll have them next day shipped.
Any friend of the brotherhood is welcome....
We will need a good count for this, so please PM me or post here.
Look forward to another great event!!!!!!!
Cheers
David
ps Special thanks to Michael, AGAIN.
Hmmmm ribs. What location is the event going to be at ?
Can anyone bring a car to be detailed ? The paint on my green car has those micro scratches on it and its a real @itch to get those buggers out.

Frank,
Event is in Reston MD (not far from 495/95 Washington DC / Dulles Airport)
PM me and we can check with the detailer... He is "giving a class" on how to properly detail our Z's.
cheers

Things are still on for this event... one thing I need info on...understand some want a detailing done (by a professional detailer) the day of the event... if that is the case let me know. Thomas Dekany, who is going to give a session of paint prep, is more of a paint specialist as opposed to a "detailer" (meaning interior, engine etc work)...
Please confirm you are still coming and if you are looking for detailing done or ???
Thanks

When this detailer works on cars it takes all day....
This is all about knowledge and RIBS!!!! Of course the Z's too!

David
I'll like to get together for some ribs and I really need a detailing on the LPE car. But the Easter Sunday is a NO GO for me. Easter Sunday (4-12) is a family day.
