View Full Version : Leaking fuel return line...found the problem>>>

Phil came over and we cleaned up the return fuel line connector and fuel rail connector...put in slightly larger (robust) O ring...turned on ignition and drip drip. Damn... now wiped things down and got out magnifier and obvious as a pimple on the end of your nose...as Phil said...manufacturing defect due to flaw in mandrel that made the hard lines. So here is the problem>>>

Once you see it like its OMG how did this thing not leak from the get go :icon_scra I have a high res version of this pic and when you go to 100% (24x24") can see the exact points where fuel was coming thru tube.

Fortunately, I can get a replacement return line... just more $$$$ invested I guess:rolleyes:

Removed the return fuel line today...very easy to do so here is the complete fuel line >>

Once out did the 'place soapy water' test and then pressurized the line (eg blew into it :mrgreen: ) and here be culprit>>>

Now just waiting on the replacement part...
