Well after a month and a half #966 arrived......started right up in 0 degree weather.....its a decent car.....needs TLC but everything is pretty much there. Will need new gaskets for the plenum.....very dirty in the engine bay.
Original GM A-Molds are flawless...no curb at all that I could see.
This should be fun!
Now, where in the hell do I put it?

I take it this is your second one. I guess I would consider getting another Z. But it would have to be a low mile rare color one that would be my garage queen. But at the same time I also want to finish the restoration on my 1968 mustang which has zero miles on the rebuilt engine. All thats left is body and paint work which is also the most expensive part of it. Post up some pix of the diamond in the rough.

Took the car out and washed it, some scratches, etc but not bad for 135K miles.....car also has a DRM chip.

This is the last time you will see this....wife was away so I took the parking spot for her CLK.
I took the car out, runs great....not sure about the alternator, jumps when the turn signal is on....starts strong....good oil pressure.
This is an awesome buy so far.

:handshak: Lee, Congrats on the new toy. All ya need is a few more colors and it will look like a bag of ZR-1 M&M's in your garage.

As long as I am still gainfully employed the plan is a lift next year, the garage roof is 9" 8" so I think I am good. At some point I need to bite the bullet and get a house and out of the townhome....need a three car garage.

A house in the rural countryside in unincorporated McHenry County

And one of these should do it!

That way both u and mama can keep ur DD's in the regular garage by the house.

I am thinking this is the single greatest car one can buy for $10K, I took the car out today.....put new gas in, let her get nice and warm.....gave it some throttle and lit up the tires.
Best of all with 135K and some minor flaws...no guilt driving it!
Cannot wait for this spring to do some road trips with my daughter:mrgreen:
