Weather looks good... seasonably cool/cold at 45 degs, but no percip anywhere. Would like to get a head count as to who is coming. For those doing any work on their cars remember to bring parts (example...if you are planning on replacing injectors make sure you have new replacements for the primary injector O rings for the injector seats), containers to hold liquids (to pull plenum you need to drain out about a gallon of coolant) etc. If you are coming just to gather then you need to bring nuthin... food and libations being provided (again though if you want to bring a favorite brew plz do so :handshak: )

Thanks

if you want to bring a favorite brew plz do so

It's a good thing you reminded them to bring the most important thing. As host hopefully they also know what your favorite is well.

Sounds like another good time but just a little too far for me for a one day event.
Have fun good luck with the reinstall!

Consider having someone video the procedure and/or take multiple pictures and we can host it in the new "How To" section debuting this year on the forum.

I have been shooting digital images of every step and even pointers etc. We will shoot more tomorrow but by the time we are finished should have a fine DIY for the Registry

Michael - I may be able to come afterall for a couple hours early if you can squeeze in another. I'll be an interested observer only since I had my plenum off less than two years ago.

What a great day!

We pulled Glen's plenum and went to "town"!

Replaced the injectors (accel's), wires, coil packs, alternator, cleaned and tested EVERYTHING to ensure the car was working 100%. Glen is an original owner (took delivery in 1990) with 82k miles and 10k of those miles are on a track (not the 1/4 mile kind). Pretty much all stock except Corsa.

Had a surprise meeting from Demps! Heard so many great things about him and we had the pleasure of chatting with him for a few hours. Thanks for stopping by Ted!!!!!

Also one of our NJ brothers Rick drove 3 PLUS hours just to join in on the fun.... Total of 8 hours in the car!

Michael was an incredible host and "ZR-1 mechanic". Not only helping with all the work (not much was done to HIS car FYI), but supplying food / beverages to all who came.

Keith (redsled90), Phil (Jadpanzer), Kirk (kirkstingray), Mike G also came to help and look @ all the work done.

Great day and look forward to doing this again!

cheers

David

Glad to hear the day was a success. Sorry I couldn't make it.

Two great ZR1 GTG's in Maryland (two weeks in a row) during the dead of winter is impressive! What's next?

Although by the end of the day I was pretty beat it was, for me, wonderful to have everyone over...love this type of gathering and learned soooo much about the LT5...nothing like hands on experience. Want to thank all that came by including DEMPS... BTW he was heading down to Florida and was pulling an enclosed trailer which contained the newest addition to his ZR-1 (ONLY collects 1995s) collection>>>

Here is Glenn and some of the gang...very enthused group and of course lots of experts and head scratching :) Really...between those with the know how (Phil is great), an impromptu call to Marc Haibeck, Marc's Plenum Pull DVD and some of my 'reference' pictures the work went smoothly...most of the time

And here is Phil... There...there... dead mouse in the valley>>>

And the first practical use of my non prototype special Nut and Bolt Organizer and Template...After extensive R&D I now making these available for a special introductory price of $29.99 plus $15.00 S&H... and wait if you order now I will throw in one used non functioning fuel injector

And Dave...thanks for bringing that special DVD... finally got to watch it...great stuff on the ZR-1 program!

Guys..had a blast and hope you did too..and I slept like the dead last night....
