So now that it's all said & done, what, in your guys' opinion, was the steal of the Barrett-Jackson this year. I'll go first. For me, the steal by a country mile was Gary Holub's Fathom Green 69 Camaro ZL-1. Greatest muscle car G.M. ever built. The only thing that comes close is the 69 Corvette ZL-1's. Only built 69 Camaro's, how many are left today...? Never see them even come up for sale, ever. Reggie Jackson had to jump in the bidding when he couldn't believe how cheap it was going. My uncle has a Fathom Green 69 Camaro C.O.P.O., he was looking at one of Gary Holub's 69 Camaro Yenko's, the ZL-1 was never even on his radar screen. He got caught with his pant's down on that one. I'm sure the seller, Gary H., was just ill:redface:

Reggie J. sold a white COPO at BJ two years ago fo $800k. There was also a 69 Nova, L78 car with an LS6 in it that sold on Tuesday for $20k. Hemi Cuda's were less than $200k and those have sold in the past for $700k to over $1,000,000.
I think the ZR-1's shined this year. That Purple Smash and the Big Doggie were genuine deals.

Isn't this a form of shill bidding, just bidding up the car knowing full well that you're sole purpose is to drive up the price?

Yeah, must not be illegal at B-J.
Yeah, must not be illegal at B-J.
Yep......Barrett gave some kind of BS exuse why Reggie had to get off the stage and onto the floor to bid on that COPO.
There were some great deals there. And the prices were much lower than previous auctions. The economy at fault maybe or people are thinking about what they are buying these days.

The way Gary Holub told it was, the ZL-1 going so cheap Reggie wanted to get in on it for himself...but who really knows. Gary WAS NOT a happy person when my uncle talked to him.
