Thinking about installing a line lock over the winter and looking for a good looking T-handle or knob with an integrated pushbutton switch installed and threaded for a Hurst ZF billet shifter, which I understand is 9/16"-18. I looked at a Hurst 15300003 pushbutton T-handle but it was tapped for 3/8" NC and the hole angle was just not right for a straight up stick like we have. Can those of you out there with line locks already installed care to share your control push button switch solutions?
Anyone tried installing a line lock pushbutton switch in a stock shifter knob?

Just FWIW, my car had that "ZR-1" engraved T-handle shift knob when I bought it. No pushbutton, but just wanted to weigh on the knob. I hated how it felt. A t-handle is probably great on an auto or something where it moved forward/back, but moving it side-side it felt, I dunno, wrong...
I wonder if the 4+3 knob would work? The shift-pattern was a button. Just a thought...

Are you trying to be 'Sneaky Pete' & hide it or does that not matter to you at all?

Does not matter as long as it looks good.
As they say in east Texas, don't want it looking like a mule's *** sewed up with a grape vine

The light is a led w/resistor, that and the momentary push button were found at a electronics surplus store. My rule with any mod small or large is not to alter the factory car in a way that it can not be restored to stock, that said I kept the original knob (hate to say this) but carefully dremeled out an area to accommodate the switch and light area. The rest is pretty straight forward i.e. through the boot/wire and tygon tube for protection. I have left over parts if you’d like to try,
