If it's a 1991 then why does it have traction control.

Car used to Belong to Boyd Jenkins. He was handicap, and had the automatic put in with hand lever controllers for the pedals. If I remember Boyd was in the Texas area, but has been a long time since I talked to him.

I believe Boyd has passed on.

There was an article on this particlar car in the Jan/Feb 1996 ZR-1 Registry Newsletter.

It was owned by a quadraplegic WWII fighter pilot(Boyd Jenkins) who had it converted to an automatic and hand controls!!!! Some excerpts from the article:

"... The original cams are retained, and from the deck down, the LT5 remains untouched. Shown as their feature car for the 92 SEMA show in Las Vegas, a custom 160hp nitrous system was designed and installed by NOS at their Cyprus CA headquarters. Race prepping by Custom Corvettes of Perris, CA included a six point leather covered roll cage and a four point quick release harness..... The first pass at Carlsbad with the modified 700R4 yielded an 11.05@124.30. The second pass was good for an 11.01@126.88. Over the weeks... produced progressively quicker times, until finally, a best of 10.43@133 was clocked at Carlsbad, on the bottle, slicks aired to 11lbs and open exhaust."

No doubt where the 700 HP comes from:
The "NOXIOUS oxide" it uses.
Must be some new fangled gas.

:-D

The seller states this car never lost, he must not have seen my cars previous owners video that left him at the line when Boyds son Rob was driving and fell asleep at the wheel!

How funny, but a cool video! Looks like he was nocked out at the starting line from a nitrous leak...lol!
