Pretty clear John Heinricy was not a fan of lifting to shift....
See the CTS video.....he even misses a gear:

Did not look like he was lifting in the 92 owners video either.

on the ?of why the 90 run better from what corey told me was that the 90s were 150 lbs lighter . my 90 weighed 3350 witha full tank of gas at the famoso scale my 92 weighed 3520 on the same scale . on shifting 90 with fidanza flywheel and ceramic disc no lift shifting is faster on the 92 with stk flywheel and clutch i actually found that a qick lift of the gas pedal to be faster .floor shifting the stk clutch seems to make the clucth a little . .15 fater with the quick lift

sorry forgot the glasses again . on the 92 .i found a quick lift of the throttle to be faster than the floor shift mode which i found to make the clutch slip a little . i use a g-tech during my drag runs which has a built in shift light also has a program that lets you down load your runs on your computor for analisis. when i did i noticed a rpm spike when floor shifting the 92. i found the g tech very helpfull for improving my ets using the computor software.another thing i found shortshifting 1 to 2 at 6400 to knock a tenth off .less wheel spin .

Brad,
I'd be interested in hearing more on the G-tech with the shift light. How is it connected? Alos, I was told the same thing regarding the 1-2 shift. Short shifting makes you go faster. My tires just plain break loose on the 1-2 now. I need to feather the gas to get traction back.
But you're running 4.10's right?

dominic the g tech pro rr the one thats 299 i believe . is connected by the cig lighter outlet . it can sense rpms through that outlet . it has a set up area where you run the rpms to where it tells you and when done your set . you then go to the shiftlight area and set them and your done . when i first took it to the track i had to set the pitch factor a couple of times to get it to read correctly , after that i found that it was within a half a tenth and .25 mph to my time slip . there are hp vs time, rpms vs time that detects wheel spin, time it takes to shift gears, what rpms you actually shifted at. speed vs time ,gs vs time, detecting wheel spinand how strong your car was pullingthroughout the run .there is also hp and tq vs rpms. you can measure your rear wheel hp . i am lucky to have a place where i can do runs away from the strip . thats where my buddy and i (he builds drag cars ) found 3 tenths of an improvement in my 60 fts by trying different things . we got the black car down to 1.60.65 60fts sat at a private track rental. which took the ets to 11.65-78 @119.56- 120.11 mph . it was amazing how much those changes improved things . i did have mt et streets drag radials set at 22 lbs .i find it a lot of fun to download my runs once i get home .the graphs really show where you can improve . plus i have an instant drag strip when ever i want .too me it was the best money i ever spent
