To a family member, I found a '90 ZR1 for sale for cheap, well, actually $13,000. It has ~112,000 miles on her, and from what I hear it needs a clutch and some trans work, I think the 1-2 synchro's are shot, but I'm not sure. I wont know till I get back home in January, but to make sure the car is as described my dad will be signing and looking over the car when it arrives home. Then he will be backing the '86 out of the garage and putting the Z in it for me (He's doing a lot better Bryan) and it looks like the '86 will be up for sale.
I'll post pics after I see the car, I'm kind of embarrassed by the pictures I saw, so I wont be showing them, car is filthy, it will need a major detail, swirls in the paint with dust on that, motor is filthy, supposedly from a loose oil filter, but we'll see. I bought it as a project mainly, but hopefully it is as described and the clutch will get replaced when I get home and then maybe the car will be somewhat driveable.
I figure a black '90 ZR1 is a very nice car for a 19 y/o. Don't worry, the car will be taken care of.

Hellz bellz! a Z is a very nice ride no matter how old ya are! Sounds like you'll give it some TLC. It will return the favor, you'll see! This is a great place to find help with anything ya need for your Z! Welcome to the brotherhood!

Congrats on you purchase. Best of luck on getting your new toy in top shape. Heck, once you just get it running reasonably well you'll still be ruined for life. I doubt there will ever be another like it!

Welcome to the Brotherhood!
Gosh, I can't imagine owning a true honest to goodness "SuperCar" at the tender young age of 19.
Be careful with your new acquisition.
A ZR1 is a fickle beast.
She'll purr like a kitten and then howl like a banchee from hell.
To borrow a rather overused and cliche' movie quotation:
"With great power comes great responsibility".
Treated with dignity, respect and a little restraint, it'll be the best car you ever own.
Treat her recklessly, it might be the last.
Welcome aboard! Don't let the rantings of a jealous old man fool you.
You did good.
Now get out there, fix it and drive it like you stole it! (you did!!)

Welcome Travis,
Congrats on KOTH ownership. I am jealous, I didn't own one until I was 52. What a car. I am sure you will have that baby shining once you get it.
