Well this morning I got my Z as clean and shinny as it was going to get and went to the show. Of course as usual out of the 85 vettes entered, mine was the only ZR-1 in the show. It got alot of attention. And I was asked a ton of questions about it. That was the boring part. Now here's the good stuff. I walked into Hooters to use the bathroom. I accidently walked into the girls bathroom and there was a hooters girl completely naked putting her work clothes on in there. We were both totally cought off guard by that one. And she covered her boobs and said she was sorry. And I said no, I'm the dumb azz who can't read. You talk about embarrassing. She was fine though. And I saw everything. That alone was worth going to the car show for. Anyway here are some pix of my car in the show.

Getting the Z ready.

I'm sorry Ryan! I didn't think to call you man. There's another corvette show Nov 15 at the pearland town center. If you can go then we will go together. Thats suppose to be even bigger than the hooters corvette show. Something like 300 vettes. Maybe Robert would like to go to. Then we would have three ZR-1's there. I know for a fact that there are way more Z's here in Houston than just us because I've talked to them on the forums. But usually they have other plans like autocross or some other racing event to attend:thumbsup: PS just remember to bring sun screen dude because I got cooked today. Learn from my mistakes. Accept for the one were you walk into the hooters girls bathroon. You don't want to learn from that mistake. You want to repeat that mistake. http://www.corvetteownersclubhouston.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1151

Your car looks great! Glad to hear that you had a good time at the show. You should consider pulling the fuse for your under-hood lights so you don't run your battery down during the show. Just follow the wire down from the light and there is a fuse in-line, just below the bottom of the hood. (At least there is on a '93.)

Next time, take your camera into the restroom.

Somebody many moons ago installed a toggle switch down where the fuse was and you can just turn them on or off with it. I just forgot. Those lights were on from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Man that hooters chick was a blond hair blue eye'd beauty. No more than 23 or 24 years old. But she was cool about the whole thing and we both just laughed about it later.

Thats the original paint. Its not bad. There were many vettes there that were just spectacular. Like I told one of the guys, I race my car so its not a show queen. Most of the cars there are completely pampered. The outside and inside of my car is in pretty good shape. But the original powder coating on the plenum and the valve covers is starting to flake off and needs to be redone. But I plan to have Corey start the process of turning it into a 415 stroker so I will wait until then to get the powder coat work done.

Probably not. But we are both married with childeren so we are not suppose to look right? And you are a church going man. I go to church maybe for midnight mass because my wife is catholic. And since I went to a pentecostal church a few times when I was 10 she says I must be one of those crazy pentecostals that dance with snakes. Hehehe! Her mother is a Cajun. Her father is a missionary baptist. And I'm from California. So you can just imagine how well we all got along in the beggining. And some real good blow outs were not far behind. But I digress. Are you going to be able to go? Or do you have to fly big bird to some beautifull exotic location that you can't enjoy again? And why the heck does our avitar say LT4? I've looked everywhere to change it. But can't find it. Some help from the forum guru's please.

yeah I happen to have the day off...and Texas Tech has a bye week this week, so I have nothing to do that day. It is the perfect day for a car show.

That part of the avatar is determined by post count - keep posting and you'll see it change to LT5 in no time.

Lets do it man. Its pretty cool when your caravaning down the freeway in a train of 40 corvettes. One of the members came up to me when I was getting ready to leave hooters and said do you remember that massive burnout you did when you were leaving Saint Arnolds brewery. I said oh yeah. That was a big one. He said my wife won't let me do things like that. I told him then don't bring her next time. Its a corvette. Not a horse and bugy.
