I AGREE! GREAT SHOW & IT REALLY GETS YOUR HEART RATE UP. Nothing equals a 150 - 180 mph run for a few miles on those excellent open roads in Nevada...especially when it's done in a VETTE

Thanks for posting the link. The guy that drove the ZR1...he always has to flex the rear end fiberglass with his finger, and comment on the non-rigid body panels...he did the same thing when they featured a Z06 a while back.

They poke fun at anyone and everything not just the Americans;) It was UK truck drivers last week.

The poking the rear of the car really pisses off us UK owners as dumb *** members of the UK public now feel the need to prod every vette they see.

I never really liked JC but after reading one of his books (and then the rest) I've come round.

I find his 'say what ya think' views on health and saftey, political correctness gone mad, anti-speed, anti-hunt, anti-noise, politics, cars, etc really funny as I find myself nodding in agreement.

I recall when he did the C6 test that he liked the car but wasn't keen on the inside's quality - what you have to remember is that GM push up the price of official import cars over here so they are asking almost the same figure in £'s as you pay in $'s. That straight away pitches them against much more expensive cars - cars that come in right hand drive and have full dealer support. When he tested the Z06 he hated it saying it was great on the airfield he drove around all day but he hated the trip home in it and advised the Z06 as a track day tool and a C6 for road use. You have to bare in mind our roads are really crap - congested, bumpy, pot-holed, rutted etc. Hell after doing 2000 miles in Europe last year I pulled over after a mile on UK roads in the Z - thinking there was something wrong with the car - nope just crap roads. I remember reading an article on the new ZR1 a while back and I'm sure it said the ride had been toned down a bit making it less harsh than the Z06's ride

Hey, our gas price has just come down. Its now around £1 for a litre of 95oct and £1.10 for a litre of super.:wink:..and mine sucks it down like its on seroids:(

What's the best you guys have done on a full tank of gas? My record was just over 100 miles out of a full tank. I was in Germany at the time trying to catch Jeal after we got split up.

Yeah, I've slowly come around on JC. Sure he rails against Americans and Corvettes, but he also makes fun of everything else.

As for the rear end, I actually get that too! :rolleyes: Don't touch my damn C6!

These clowns had me rolling laughing. and he did have a lot of praise about the corvette. i especially liked his comment about the fact that it had "a proper manual gear box instead of those stupid padels. take that Ferarri"
