I would defy anyone to look a the car and find anything that looks like its on a 75k milage car. This car is as clean as they come! If I was creating a checkerboard this would be the red to my black!!!

Thanks guys, I think all of you are right.

It really is a nice car. I'm just ready for something else. Something that still has a "Z" in the name maybe....

Get it now, and spend the Fall/Winter months getting it ready to go for the next driving season (not that there's really much to do).

An incredible value for $24.5K given its excellent condition and all the mods and TLC Nick has put into this fine automobile. The lucky person who buys it will be getting a real prize that can more than hold its own against the newer stuff thats out there.

Well, guess it's my turn to plug a car for someone. Certainly have had kind remarks on this Forum about mine.

I also have seen Nick's car. If you know anyone who has been looking to get into a Z, this would be the one, no question about it. It has all the mods you would want, it has been well taken care of and everything is in great condition. Especially now that the tires have been done with Adams VRT, ha ha.

All kidding aside. This is a great car. GL Nick. We all need that right now.

The car market has been in the tank for some time.
Now with the financial crunch and world wide recession people are not spending money. There is a company who sells collectibles and when they come out with a special new piece every 5 years the items sell like hotcakes to the point they need to have a lottery for the right to buy because demand always exceeds the limited production. This year they came out with a piece that sells for $3,600.00 which is typical of previous piece prices. They had 2nd and 3rd chance lotteries because no one was buying. Brokers who normally pay above retail to lottery winners because the demand in so high are stuck with ones they bought anticipating the typical demand.

The moral of the story is that unless you need to sell, hold on until things improve. Otherwise you might be faced with selling well below what you want to get, or what it is worth during normal times.

Good morning everyone,

Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Geof and I am the one who bought Nick's car.

Because of my profession, I was unable to get out to Washington myself, so I had the car shipped to me. It should be here either Wednesday or Thursday of this week.

This is my first ZR-1, but I am certainly no novice to the Corvette or the King. It's kind of a story in of itself, but we can talk about that later.

Nick's car will be in good company with my current black on black 96 LT1 coupe.

I look forward to getting to know you guys... :hello:

I was actually thinking about The Gathering the other day, as it has been a number of years since I have been to a Corvette event. Well, there was the 50th down in Nashville... but.. umm... yeah...

There's a chance I'll be heading to The Netherlands right around that May timeframe, so The Gathering is still up in the air.
