First time I've ever seen another ZR-1 on the road(except at events), near dayton, Ohio heading south on I-75:jawdrop:. Forest Green 90, but could be wrong on the color.

I had the same experience today myself while I was out enjoying the weather and my LT5. I saw a red 1990 driving south on Broadway just outside of downtown Denver.
I didn't catch up so here's my virtual wave.

Funny you guys should mention about never seeing another ZR-1 out unless it's at a show or an event. I can count on one hand the number of times that I've seen another ZR-1 out enjoying the fresh air. I've put some miles on mine in four yrs & I always keep an eye out for a BOTB. Sightings have been few & far between.:dontknow:
I had the pleasure of running next to 09 ZR1, blue w/chrome wheels, two weekends ago....but we were traveling to an event. I waved, but I think the driver was too busy....car looks good underway though...it must be a hard thing to do to keep that motor within the break in rules....the driver looked distracted.....or maybe he was annoyed at me gawking his car.

not a fan of the new ZR1. nice car but i think they could have done a better job with it. besides, you can have a car MUCH MUCH faster for the same price. i have never seen another ZR-1 yet either but there aren't too many out here in Utah.

I hear ya Chris...I think with the 10k optional pkg, which yields a sweet looking interior leather treatment, the car looks nice on the inside. The exterior is I guess a case of you either like the C6/C6ZO6 basic shape or ya don't. The only thing that I positively do not like is the see thru window on the hood......guess I'm too outta touch to appreciate it. The rest of the exterior with all the aero devices I like....but then I'm from the late 60's to mid 70's muscle car era....however it's all academic, as I couldn't afford to pay attention at the base car's price....;)

i think the C7 is supposed to come out in 2010 so i am eager to see what that looks like. a little bit of a retro C3 style would be pretty sweet i think. maybe even C2 retro style.

yea, I agree. The way things are looking in terms of stock value and credit spreads I doubt that any extra development $ is hanging around for R & D on the C7......that project may have to wait till things improve. I would think that any availble $ will be spent on bringing new DD's to the market.
Hey Chris, that's a cool link to a very impressive chassis....but is that car "legal" for US importation? If it is that is very impressive.

yes it is legal. there are certain inspections that need to be done to prove to local autorities that it is street legal and there may be some inspection requirement to get a tittle for it but there are several of these around the US. just very few and far between. they make them in both left and right hand drive designs. if you look at the stats on this thing in comparrison to all the other supercars, there is nothing out there than can compete. this car shattered the lap record used by Top Gear TV by 5 seconds!!! it weighs 1800lbs and does over 100mph in second gear. 0-60 in 2.6secs, 0-100 in 3.6sec, 0-100-0 in 9.4sec. it even has a higher top speed and a faster 1/4mile then the bugatti veyron. in terms of performance for the dollar, this cannot be beat. my favorite thing about this car is that it is powerd by a small block chevy. i read an article in car craft magazine about a guy that owned one of these and he was behind a blown mustang getting on the freeway and he passed the mustang like 50 or so MPH faster then the mustang. the mustang caught up with him later and asked him how that was possible becuase his mustang was blown and he had the throttle burried.
didn't mean to hijack the thread. sorry for that. lol.

Sounds good, any cruise-ins going on up there?
I grew up at Lewisburg so familiar with Greenville some.
From what I've heard there's 4-6 Z's in Greenville! Or maybe at one time.:(. Met another Greenville Z owner year ago at Brookville cruise-in.
