hey members!

Met with Dave and his wife (first time meeting him)... He is very upbeat and have to love his spirit. I was proud to show him what corvette support is with that Poster with signitures from Ocean City. (thanks again to Jim Voter)

EDIT:

I wrote it would be great for them to have an accessable van (used), but they could use something smaller in the near future.... Dave has to come home while his knee heals from the accident (broken) and needs to have the bathroom accessable / ramps to get him around.

Need people to donate their time or supplies to assist him so he can get around for the month while he heals. He will be allowed a sum to rent a hospital bed, but needs to figure where to store the bed (near the bathroom and get privacy).

Any ideas?

I edited my last post and wrote in haste about getting a van, but he needs help getting their home accessable to a wheelchair and a hospital bed.

Anyone who can donate time and or supplies? Home depot and Lowes?

I plan on heading to their home right before he gets there and or right after he is home from the hospital.

Cheers

I will be glad to help out. I am not available this weekend, though. Let me know if a day next week is possible.

I have reasonable carpentry skills and the tools we would need. Some extra manpower would be great. Can anyone else be available to help?

David,

It is really great of what you are trying to do to help. Both of them look great considering what he been through. Thanks for all that you are doing.

Respectfully,

Update....

We have a member from Phili who is coming out to install a new bathroom and widen the bathroom door / bedroom door.

We do need some contributions for the supplies.

Home Depot Gift cards if possible(supplies being bought there). Cash / check works too. Even $10 helps guys.

If anyone wants to help, this will happen Thursday and Friday of next week. (Oct 23 and 24th)

If it is ok with our "member", I will pass along his name and company (he owns a contracting business).

Thanks for all that everyone has done!

Cheers!

David
