I HAVE A 1991 ZR (javascript:doFix(25);)1 WITH 80K MILES 4:10 GEARS ,CHIP, STAINLESS STEAL WORKS HEADERS B&B EXHAUST AND A K&N AIR FILTER. THE CAR RUNS GREAT ! I HAVE HAD IT SENSE NEW AND THE OTHER NIGHT WILE DRIVING THE POWER KEY LIGHT WENT OUT SO I TURNED THE KEY AND NO RESPONSE I THEN TURNED THE KEY THE OPPOSITE WAY AND THE LIGHT CAME ON ? (GO FIGURE) BUT THEN AFTER 10 SEC. WENT OFF AGAIN THIS CONTINUED UNTIL EVENTULALLY THE KEY WAS TURNED TO THE FULL POSITION AND THE POWER LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON ?
CAN ANYONE OFFER ANY ADVICE ON WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE I GET CAUGHT AT A LIGHT WITH A FERRARI WITH ONLY 16 VALVES WORKING?
THANKS
RIC (javascript:doFix(669);)

Well you can bypass the Key at the PROM level with either a (Doug Rippie Motorsports) DRM Prom or a Mark Haibeck Prom. That way you always get full power without the key to have to worry about. Sounds like the key module behind the radio surround might be failing. So thats the route I would go. Also Kill the ALL CAPs unless you really meant to scream this request for information. GC
BTW welcome to the forum.

Thanks for your quick response. I will check on it. And from now on I promise to follow the proper capital letter protocol !

No problem depending on the PROM module you have you will need to send it off to get reprogramed. Great time to make sure that the set of headers and rearend gears are a part of the programming while you there already getting the chip reprogrammed.
