Good start. Now replace the rear rotors. I suggest Baer Eradaspeeds with Black aluminum Hats, Stainless bolts and zinc washed drilled and slotted surfaces.

I noticed what looks like a "brushed" look (and I like it!). What did you use to get that shine on the Al parts?
TIA,
P.

Not sure why they appear that way in the pics. They look smooth for the most part in person. Also smooth to the touch.:icon_scra I guess maybe the lighting?? I used 000 steel wool with some Simple Green followed by Mothers Metal Polish.

Hey! I've got all that stuff too - materials anyway. (I'm short of ambition and elbow grease just now - other priorities await my attention...[sigh].
Thanks for the reply.

I know squat about race venue brakes, so for what this is worth... But, I slept in a Holiday Inn once! AND a friend of mine has a GTO dedicated to the track circuit. So, one day I asked him why he didn't use drilled/slotted rotors. To that he pointed to a couple of them on his work bench - both had cracks radiating from the holes, and one rotor was cracked (radially) across the face of the rotor. He told me that he has had too many problems with those rotors, and prefers the cast iron, non-drilled, non-slotted rotors.
I don't know what kind of rotors they were that had cracked, or what they were made of. So, perhaps there are some rotors so prepared that do stand up. But, for what he does, he says the plain cast iron work well, and they don't cost an arm and a leg either.
I dunno. But, his comments did influence me to buying standard iron rotors when I had one develop a hard spot (often referred to as "warped", mistakenly) on one of mine. So far they work very well.
Just 2¢ worth (and over priced at that!)

Well Paul if they are the Chinese made Ebay $100 a set of four specials I am not surprised on the cracking and fatiguing which is well documented on multiple forums. It all depends on the manufacturer. Yes mine are expensive but they have several advantages as already pointed out and they are two piece units which means the Aluminum hat can be removed and paired with another rotor if they needed to be replaced.
I have also heard about rapid brake pad wear as well as other issues but the improved performance is significant. They “bite†better than the stock rotors which I felt almost immediately after the upgrade last week. Autocrossers report a reduction in fade during events due to heat which is also a problem. I will be keeping my eye on the set to see if I have these issues. These also while 100% functional also look great and would look great poking behind a set of chrome A-molds that 32Val is waiting for.
Expensive yes. But a tasteful mod which both looks good and performs IMHO
