Blew the shaft seal on my water pump on the way home from work yesterday. Who's the best source without waiting for an eBay auction to end for a new pump. I want to get'r replaced and back on the road pronto.

It's possible they are rebuilds. NAPA had rebuilds for sale for like $110 at one point. Kurt W pointed that out a while back.

Things that make you go hmmmmm?
Ok.... I checked
NAPA online
Rebuilt Pump = $144.00 (gasket not mentioned)
New Pump = $535.00 (gasket not mentioned)
Corvette Central = $199 (does not specify new or rebuilt, gasket included)
eBay
h20pumpman, rebuilt pump = $199.00 (buy it now, w/OEM gasket)
thepartsladi, new GM/Delco = $439.00 (gasket not mentioned)
jimbutlerchevrolet, new GM/Delco = $445.00 (gasket not mentioned)
northernautoparts, aftermkt Airtex = $328.00 (w/gasket)
salemfrank, new GM/Delco = $550.00 (no gasket)
I have one obvious question, where did the used castings come from for anyone to even offer a rebuilt pump? Oddly enough, the rebuilt pumps look like newly machined castings.
If you examine the price spread, it's obvious a new GM/Delco pump is in a completely separate pricing group, even the new NAPA pump (mfg unknown, and the Airtex pump.
GM is out of new pumps.
I suspect we are seeing an influx of foreign knock-offs, probably from China.
I have no idea of the quality of these supposed "remanufactured" or aftermarket pumps, or how long they will last. What I do know, is that usually you get what you pay for.
The pumps I have are new, OEM, GM/Delco pumps, packed in original boxes. Buy what ever makes you happy. I have about 15 pumps left. When they are gone, that's it. The price is $320.00, my manufactured gasket included. Shipping by USPS Priority Mail usually runs about $22.00.
I have water pump gaskets at $21.00 when sold separately.
Hope this helps to alleviate some of the questions.

If I needed a water pump, or anything Jerry had to offer.... I would NOT hesitate to purchase anything from him without a need to price check.
His prices and attention are what make this club awesome!

Talk to Owen at Bouqet auto parts in Canyon Country, Ca.
Got mine from him about a yr ago. New GM piece, was under $300.
He said at that time Cardone was buying as many as they could and reboxing them, dont know whats floating around out there right now.

Jerry, the Corvette Central pump is new and bears the same cast/part # as the ones you are selling. It is just a great buy. Guess they got some closeouts.
